The King's position is critical in the games with an isolated pawn. If h6 or g6 pawn moves can be provocated, then the attack against the king will be more likely successful. 

In the following game between World Champions Kramnik and Anand, black weakened his king by the h7-h6 move and white was able to create a strong attack by a piece sacrifice and win the game in the endgame:
