Road to the Grandmaster title - Caro-kann defense

I solved puzzles in the morning for 1 hour.

Today is the 49th day when I did these exercises to improve my calculation and visualization skills to reach the grandmaster level in those areas too. I invite you to solve the exercises I worked on today in my LIVE stream on my twitch channel at https://www.twitch.tv/attilaturzo

Every day you can join me when I work on tactics.

You can watch how did I solve the puzzles:

Today I was running with my daughter. First She came with me on a roller skate. We visited the church in the main square of our town.

Then She changed the roller skate to the bicycle and we went for a real running.

It was 108th day when I was running every day for the Grandmaster title.

In the evening I played 3 training games with analysis on my twitch channel at https://www.twitch.tv/attilaturzo

In the first game my opponent played the 2 knights variation  of the Caro-kann defense.

I did not know what to play against 6.b3 so I played g6, Bg7 to neutralize it.

I won space with d4 and blocked his kingside attack. He sacrificed too many pieces and I won after some good defensive moves:

In the 2nd game my opponent played the Be7 setup against the London system and I forgot to play h3 to save my bishop. I got a better endgame with winning chances, but did not find the most active play and I had too little time and needed to force a draw. The first draw out of 18 games!

In the final game my opponent played the strange and tricky 2..h5 move against the London system. I played too passively, he equalized and even got a strong knight on g3 and a better position. I was fighting well and got counter-attack and a winning position, but lost on time.

Last night I managed to sleep only 7 hours, which is really not enough.

I will give my best to reorganize my life to get more sleep to have energy for the games.

My blitz rating went from 2486 to 2487

First time a positive day after 5 days of losses! Good sign!

In the last 5 days I played 19 games, lost 13 games and won 5 games and drew 1 game.

You can watch the video about how I played and analyzed the games on my twitch channel at https://www.twitch.tv/attilaturzo
