Road to the Grandmaster title | Classical Caro-Kann

In the morning I run little longer than usual. I plan to increase the distance. The weather is very hot. Extra challenge.

I played a much higher rated FIDE-master in the 1st round on the Titled Tuesday. I played the Capablanca variation of the Caro-Kann. In the opening he could get the advantage by playing c5 and Bf4, but he did not do that. I played c5 and took over the initiative. I got a rook endgame with an extra pawn, but allowed too many exchanges and he saved the game.
