I got the 8th place in the Grandmaster Tournament and lost 1.2 rating points.

I started well the tournament with 2 wins out of 3 games and then had only 1 victory out of 6 games and in every game I lost in the last 6 games I made a big blunder.

I was thinking about the reasons and I think the main one is the lack of energy and then losing the focus.

Over the tournament I continued to teach my students, so spent around 25 hours teaching chess when played against young, well rested and prepared players. I just gave too much advantage.

The doubt and challenge was about my financial situation. I did not want to play the tourney and have no income for 9 days.

After the tourney I realized I can not both teach full time, prepare for the tourney, write a blog post, create a video and play the games.

I need to prioritize things. I need to prepare financially to play for the next tourneys.

If you would like to help me to concentrate fully on the tourneys when I play and would like to sponsor me, then please send me a message!

Today I selected some of the key positions of the tourney where my opponents or me had a good move to gain the advantage or save the game. I think these are good exercises. I suggest you to take 5-30 minutes each puzzle to solve. The best if you write down the solution to a paper and later compare it with the solution:

In the morning I studied 1 hour of tactics. You can solve a few of them on the diagrams and can watch the videos to solve the others:
