Road to the Grandmaster title - Good versus Bad bishop in the endgame

Yesterday in the morning I solved tactical puzzles 3 hours and streamed at https://www.twitch.tv/attilaturzo

At noon I had a nap and then played 6 blitz games and annotated them all.

In the first game I got an interesting endgame with a good bishop versus a bad bishop.

The key things which I learnt from the game:

1) try to fix the opponent's pawns on the bishop's color

2) put my pawns on the opposite color of the bishop's

3) Be aware of the possible blockades

4) Activate the King

5) Think about the bishop exchange

6) Pawn break and sacrifices

In the second game My opponent played the four knight opening and we got an interesting endgame. I had the bishops and he had better pawns.

I made a big mistake, I played a passive defend, instead was better to sacrifice the pawn and attack on the other side of the board:

In the 3rd game I played with black again against the king's gambit. I did not know the line and I went to capture pawns instead of the needed development.

Think twice if material or time is more important!

He did not use his chance to develop and attack quickly, then I had a chance to win material and finish development with an advantage. At the end the dust settled with a perpetual check.

In the 4th game, I played with white against the Ben-oni defense after his mistakes, I got a huge center and development advantage and soon he also blundered a knight on h5. I was available to play energetic to win the game:

In the 5th game I played the Steinitz defense deferred. We got a close to equal position, when he allowed me to play Ng4 to attack the e4 bishop and allowed me to take it.

Then my kingside attack became overwhelming:

In the last game I played the Nf3, Rb1 variation against the Gruenfeld defense. I was able to build up a super strong center with d5, c4 and an attack against the king. I won a piece, but missed a perpetual check. I was up a rook when he decided to play on and he won on time when my position was winning. I need to speed up to be able to win with an extra rook!
