In the 2nd round I played with the Hungarian International Grandmaster Zoltan Varga

I played the classical Sicilian and he replied wih 6.f3 a less popular line which leads to English attack type positions. I pushed my a-pawn to a7-a5-a4 to attack his b3 knight and to win space.

He played Nd5 which helped him to control the c6 square and gain some advantage. Later he played little slow and allowed me to equalize.

Close to the time control at move 40 he made a break with c4. I reacted well and the position was a bit better for me. He missed a defense and I could get the queen for a rook and bishop.

I misplayed the endgame. Partly because I was low on time, pertly because I need to learn more about how to play the imbalance of queen against a rook and piece.

After a few missed chance he was able to build up a blockade and draw the game.

Anyway It was a much better played game, then the 1st game. I hope to play even better against the 3rd International Grandmaster Gabor Nagy.
