In the 6th round of the First Saturday Grandmaster Tournament I played against the young Hungarian FIDE master Tibor Bodi. His FIDE rating is 2380.

Before the game I prepared a lot against his possible 1.e4 move. I was happy about my preparation and ready for the game. When he made his first move1.Nf3 I tough we will play a game which I like even more than the 1.e4 lines.

He played the Reti opening and I playe the d5-c6 setup to block the bishop.

His Qb3-e3 looked strange, but 1st I thought maybe I fall in a trick, but Qd8 defended the e7 bishop and then I could castle.

In a few moves I misjudged the power of the e2-e4 break to exchange pawns to open up the position for the bishops. He misplayed it and I was able to blockade on d5 and I was happy again.

Then I made a risky decision to win his d4 pawn but allowing an other pawn break with b4-b5.

I missed an interesting queen sacrifice, but I was lucky, because my defense was good enough.

We went to an endgame where He got a rook for a knight and pawn, but the pawns were all on the kingside and I could build up a blockade to draw the game.
