Road to the Grandmaster title - Pawn break in the endgame

Road to the Grandmaster title - Pawn break in the endgame

I solved puzzles in the morning for 1 hour.

Today is the 48th day when I did these exercises to improve my calculation and visualization skills to reach the grandmaster level in those areas too. I invite you to solve the exercises I worked on today in my LIVE stream on my twitch channel at https://www.twitch.tv/attilaturzo

Every day you can join me when I work on tactics.

You can watch how did I solve the puzzles:

Just before lunch I went to run with my daughter. She was riding her bicycle. We got a small rain, but also found beautiful roses near the road with sweet smell.

Just after lunch I did my other 1 hour training, when I played and analyzed 3 blitz games on my twitch channel at https://www.twitch.tv/attilaturzo

In the 1st game I played with Grandmaster Daniel Forcén Esteban. He played the exchange variation of the Slav defense. I got an equal position and could have an advantage in the opening if I would play more active.

The endgame was equal, but made mistakes in the rook endgame and lost.

Need to block the passed pawns as soon as possible and make busy the opponent's king.

In the 2nd game my opponent FIDE-Master Kacper Tomaszewski played again the exchange Slav. This time I played more aggressive in the opening and got some advantage, which I slowly gave back. In an equal endgame He missed a pawn break which created me a winning passed pawn.

In the final game I played the London system and we transposed to the Grunfeld defense. First the position was just little bit better, then a huge advantage, then missed the win and got equal position again. Then in the endgame I outplayed him and lost on time with an extra queen.

Last night I managed to sleep only 5.5 hours, which is really not enough.

I will give my best to reorganize my life to get more sleep to have energy for the games.

My blitz rating went from 2492 to 2486

In the last 5 days I played 16 games, lost 12 games and won 4 games.

You can watch the video about how I played and analyzed the games on my twitch channel at https://www.twitch.tv/attilaturzo
