In round 9 of the Vezerkepzo international tournament I played with the young ukrainen talent, who won more than 600 point in the last 5 months. Going from 1628 over 2253 and in this tourney also won more than 55 points.

He played the 5...cxd4 line in the Semi-Tarrasch which was played recently many top players.

It gives a position which can be also reached from the Alapin Sicilian reversed colors. In this version Black plays like white a tempo down. It gives good chances for black to equalize.

I played Qa4 instead of Qd3, which allowed him to go a6-b5 tempo on the queen.

I missed placed the queen again to d2 instead of d3 which allowed Ne4. He is made small mistakes which allowed an equal position. Later I missed a simple attack on my bishop which was trapped.

I made very similar mistakes in this tourney like in the last one. I lost all of my games by big blunders.

My main problem is the energy level. I did not sleep enough. I could not manage family life and tourney life well together. I played much better when I travelled to a tourney and was at my own, concentrating only on playing. I need to be able to make borders better and focus on the tourney when I am playing in a tourney and also go to sleep in time to get 8 hours of sleep.

Looks like enough sleep is the base all everything else. Proper sleep, food, and exercises.

I will work on these basics and will be back much stronger!

I will also work on calculation and the new openings I play.
