Sicilian Grand Prix Attack against Grandmaster Valeriy Neverov

In round 2 of the Vezerkepzo Spring International Master tourney I played with Grandmaster Valeriy Neverov from Ukraine. He is an aggressive player, so I decided to use his own weapon against him and I played the Sicilian Grand Prix Attack.

He played very safely and got a small edge, because of my slow play.

In the middlege he allowed me to make favourable exchanges and I got a better endgame, with a strong knight against a weak bishop.

Again I played too slow and after a blunder he equalized.

I made another miscalculation and he had a winning chance which he missed and the position became draw again and he forced a perpetual to make a draw:
