
Trapped in the Scotch opening against Woman-FIDE Master Boglarka Erdos
In round 10 of the Vezerkepzo Spring International Master tourney I played with Woman-FIDE-Master Boglarka Erdos from Hungary.
I played the modern h4 line in the Scotch opening, which She replied with a5, Ba6 to attack on the a6-f1 diagonal. After my c2-c4 She attacked with the rare Qc5 move.
I played the usual b3 move to defend the c4 pawn and prepare the Bb2 developing move.
I quickly checked the Qd4 move which attacks the a1 rook, but I though after Bb2 the queen need to go back and white is much better. I forgot the strong countermove Bb4 check, which forces Nd2, which blocks the 2nd rank so my b2 bishop will be lost.
After Qd4 I lost the rook and 2 pawns for a knight and She won the game with good technique:
