Introduction

Ok, no more jokes (for now), this is my final blog. I'm leaving tomorrow, on April 2nd, for real. I'm writing this because, uhhhhh, I'm not sure. Oh yeah, for BlogChamps, one of my favourite clubs. Don't y'all forget CVC, my main club, the club from which most of people will read this.

This blog

This won't be just some blog where I will say goodbye and cry and stuff, this blog will be about something. Before you read the next sentence: think about it, what could the theme be?

You did thinking? Alright, I'll tell you, today, I will describe and argument why chess.com sucks. Oh wait, I've already said it in the title. Well, this is a blog for April fools' day, after all.

So, let's start!

Yep, chess.com's ACTUAL Trustpilot page

The Trustpilot page

To begin, I opened Google and searched 'chess.com sucks'. Expected, I founded videos of chess youtubers discussing the following topic. One of first featured results was, ironically, HornetCruise's blog on a similar topic, why chess (in general) sucks, posted also for April fools' day, exactly 3 years ago. But the most interesting part was Chess.com's Trustpilot page. Interesting how it had a rating of only 1.5 out of over 1,500 reviews (at the time of writing).

The Reviews

The featured reviews are, well, mixed. You can fing all ratings from 1 star to 5 stars, although, you guessed it, the 1 star reviews are most frequent. Sadly, they aren't giving us some insight into some problems we don't know about, or see them, nor they are sarcastic and funny as, for example, Google Reviews. The problem most frequently mentioned are sandbaggers and 6767 rated Stockfish (oh no here trolling comes back) cheaters. So, as I said, nothing new.

When a site trolls their users

Yep, another thing. Chess.com absolutely LOVES trolling their community (us). From April Fools' jokes (Ok, I forgive them for that), to mentioning the "One more game" problem to us countless times just to ragebait us.

Totally me when I can't stop playing

Also, another thing. I seriously suspect that chess.com paid up Carlsen and Hikaru to play the (in)famous Bongcloud game. The game below:

What do I think about it all?

Chess is fine, when you win. Chess.com also is good, when they pair you with a player you can beat. Trolling by them is bad. Sandbaggers and cheaters are great people actually, because they reduce the number of jobless people, in other words, chess.com has to find workers who will stare in screen less than their users, and contribute to the platform less than them. Because we all know that we find the most cheaters before the mods, but then they "do the work". So, does chess suck? No. Does chess.com suck? Yes ultimately, and universally, because they addict innocent people to a board game for smart ones, and make them hate on them, like they just can't leave them.

The End.

Hmmm... What does this button do?

Happy April Fools'!
