Ultimate Sensei | Season 1 Week 3 Power Rankings + Recap
We are now just a couple days away from the Ultimate Sensei Finale, where students will battle it out in an 8-player knockout bracket to see who has improved the most over the course of the last five weeks! The quarterfinal pairings have been set, with the bracket as follows:
However this will not be a typical elimination style bracket, but instead move the winners onto the semifinals and the losers of the first match into their own bracket to determine places 1-8. In short, all eight participants will play all three matches! The schedule for this weekend will be as follows (all times in PST):
Saturday, 11/7 10 AM: Quarterfinals + Semifinals
Sunday, 11/8 10 AM: Finals + 3rd/5th/7th place matches
The format of each match will be as follows:
Best of 2 games 15+5
Best of 2 games 3 + 2
If tied after blitz, Classical Armageddon (90 minutes for W vs 45 minutes for B + draw odds)**
The final team prizes and standing will be determined by the final placing of bracket. With 1st place = 8 points, 2nd place = 7 points, and so on, the cumulative score of each team will determine their final placing:
1st Place Team: $800
2nd Place Team: $600
3rd Place Team: $400
4th Place Team: $200
