Relaunching My Blog!!
I've noticed over the past few blog entries that my own choices for blogs on the current happenings in the world of chess have been attacked, as I have also been. People just don't like what I'm writing about, how I'm writing it, or just don't like me expressing my opinions, which is what blogging is...right? Opinions?? Well, some people (and you know who you are) don't seem to appreciate all the time it takes for me searching the web for chess news, writing and editing a blog entry, or doing all of the things necessary to write a decent blog.
I have some good news for you. I won't be discussing current chess events anymore *pausing for obvious applause from some people*. But what I will be doing is covering the recaps for the shows on Chess.com/TV that I have been doing for almost 2 years now.
Usually, I post the recaps in the Official Chess.com/TV Group forums or the public forums under the Chess.com/Community category but the problem is that they don't get read enough or commented on enough to bring more attention to Chess.com/TV and the passion that the Hosts and the people that watch it to full light.
Now it seems I have a lot of people reading what I write, and there are many more people who like what I do rather than hate it. The only hate I get is from people who just want to be, well, words I can't say here. I get thanked more than I get attacked believe me. I wasn't the former 2-Time #1 ranked Blogger on Chess.com for nothing you know.
Anyway, one blog will be covering the weekly 10-game simul "BIG Show" hosted by IM Danny Rensch and the other blog will be a recap of the topics discussed by Danny and his partner-in-crime IM David Pruess. My hope of doing this is to bring more light, attention and viewership to Chess.com/TV and the Official Group, which opened its doors back in December of 2010 after being asked by Danny himself to front this project. I will do all I can to help them out. The blogs are most likely to be back-to-back, but if there is a lot to write for the Pardon our Blunders recap, I'll skip a day so I can get my thoughts down better and try to convey what was said on the show.
I hope to those that do remain followers to me don't mind this change of pace.
Have a good night everyone!
