Chess.com Features For New Chess Players

In this blog I will show you the Chess.com Features that I use most often and not everything that the site has because that will take longer than usual. 

1.The Play Interface- If you want to start a new game or play some games then go to Play > Play Tab and then Select the Time Control you want and also the Game Type you want to play whether it is Standard or in Variants. The Play Interface can handle both Live Online Games and Correspondence Games. You can also Play with a Friend or Play against the Computer and Join Tournaments by Clicking on the "Tournaments" Tab. 

2.Game Analysis- After you played your games you can analyze your games and see where you made missed wins, blunders, mistakes, and inaccuracies. There will be a Chess Engine to evaluate positions and make move suggestions. Also there is a Game Review and Game Report to analyze the game better. 

3.Lessons/Video Library- If you want to improve your game then use the Lessons or the Video Library Features. Those Features have different coaches and a lot of videos are posted on Chess.com every day. On the right side they have fundamentals and that is Rules and Basics, Openings, Endgames , Middlegame Theory, Strategy, Tactics etc.

4.Puzzles (Tactics)- To Practice Chess Puzzles and Study Tactics then go to Puzzles > Puzzles and You have to find the Best Move in every given position. If you get the answer correct then your rating will increase and if you get the answer incorrect then your rating will decrease. You can also do the Daily Puzzle and Puzzle Rush Features.

5.Openings/Endgames and the Library-

If you want to get better at every phase of the game then there are a few features to let you improve. The 1st feature is the "Endgames". The Endgames Feature has 3 features and those are Drills and TableBases. The 2nd feature is the "Openings". You can explore book moves and search for many opening lines as you want or Use the "Explorer" to Search for Master Games and Import Games. There is also a "Library" Feature to add collections from your games and create the title of the game you are adding to the Library. 

6.Membership Subscriptions On Chess.com there is a membership subscription that improves your game. The Diamond Membership Subscription is the feature that gives you full access to lessons, video library, puzzles, play chess, tournaments, explorer , openings and endgames, the live analysis board, game report and full game analysis , club management and time protection for correspondence games.
