OTB Chess

OTB chess is a type of chess in which players play chess physically and in person. "OTB" stands for "over the board". OTB chess requires chess sets. There is a touch move rule in physical chess tournaments. The touch move rule is if you touch a piece then you must move it. If you touch an opponent's piece you must capture it. If you let go of a piece then the piece has to stay there. If the touch piece cannot be legally moved,captured or the move is illegal then there is no penalty. The touch move rule applies to legal moves only. You should press the clock with the same hand you move the piece with. OTB Chess has ratings just like in Online Chess. If there is no second queen available and you want to promote and you already have the original queen on the board,  then ask the arbiter for a queen. You are not allowed to use an upside down rook for a 2nd queen.
