'Real Talk: Interviews with Chess Enthusiasts.'

*When did you started playing chess?

In the late 1950s when my friends and I are playing checkers and then change playing to chess games. When I started playing chess in the late 1950s, I stop playing chess in early 1960s because I was a character actor in the Philippine movie in the 1960s, dancing my favorite Ballroom Dance like Tango, ChaCha, Jive, Merengue, Rumba, Waltz and more. playing basketball in the school varsity, studying my accounting courses. I just started playing chess again in the late of 1990s or early 2000.

*What motivated you to play chess?

To make more friends, for fun and enjoy playing chess and to be known.

*How did you learn to play chess?

By watching my friends playing chess in the late 1950s.

*What are your goals in chess?

To be known and popular as a chess players.

*Have you participated in any over-the-board (OTB) or online chess tournaments?

Just a few in the late 1950s. I have no record on those games.

*What advice do you have for other chess players looking to improve their skills?

My advice is to play chess everyday, read the best chess books, study the tactics of chess.

*Is there anything else you would like to share about your chess journey or experiences?

Yes, plenty like Pinoy Chess Philippines, Team Philippines United, Manila City, Ray Duque III Group International and many more.
