Saving Another Lost Endgame
Hi everyone, and I am back for another post!
Without further ado, let's look into today's topic! This was from a 15|10 game I played on Chess.com. I had a solid opening/middlegame, but ended up blundering, missing some chances, and reached the following (losing) endgame:
White is down a Bishop for an extra pawn (3 vs 1), especially in an endgame, this is considered losing assuming (key word) Black plays accurately. Some players might resign here! However, why resign when you have gas left in the tank? It can be very easy for Black to get overconfident. I'm not sure if Black was, but I can assure you if my 1700+ opponent had been as locked in as I was (desperate to save a losing endgame), he would have won for sure. Let's take a look at how we both did.

So that's it! I hope you enjoyed this post! If you want to see more of me saving lost endgames, feel free to check out my article on Rook endgame tricks. Thank you all for reading, I will see you again shortly with another blog!
