Fabiano Falls vs Firouzja: A PRO Chess League Brilliancy!
In week five of the 2020 PRO Chess League, two Western Division powerhouses faced off... and while it may not have gone as Canada planned, their youngest player did leave a mark on the match!
The game below between Fabiano Caruana and Alireza Firouzja included a brilliant sacrifice, exactly the type of enterprising play we've come to expect from the 16-year old Iranian. Alireza Firouzja wasn't able to lead the Cananda Chessbrahs to victory this week, but maybe this game will create some concern in Saint Louis fans the next time they meet in the playoffs!
