FIDE World Cup Round 1.2: My Favorite Games!

Round 1.2 (or is it 1 and 1/2? Who knows! ) of the 2019 FIDE World Cup brought the thrills, the chills and a couple of guys with some mad skills! Grandmasters Parham Maghsoodloo and Peter Svidler played chess to impress in Khanty-Mansiysk on September 11th.  

The first game I chose to analyze deeply gave us a first hand look at what a great approach *could* be against the favorite blitz and bullet weapon of the legendary Hikaru Nakamura.

Our second game saw Peter Svidler, either by hook or cook  (ie, in the kitchen at home!) Peter Svidler dominated his young opponent and put on a clinic as White.
