2012 Colorado Open! (Labor Day Weekend)

2012 Colorado Open! (Labor Day Weekend)

This is a really fun event this year. In the open section we will have at least two IMs and one GM playing. GM Alex Yermolinsky will be giving a simul on August 31st before the tournament. The hotel has a terrific rate and we have strong players (including some masters coming in from Arizona and Iowa) coming in to play this year. Denver has some terrific sights to see, if you are coming with your spouses and children (assuming they are not playing) there is so much to do here with just superb weather (Denver is a relatively dryer climate so even an 80 degree day is very comfortable). There are Denver attractions like the Molly Brown (of Titanic fame) House, Rocky Mountain National Park, Denver Botanical Gardens, Lower Downtown (called LODO) with its superb selection of resturants, shops, micro-breweries, and bars, one can take in a Rockies baseball game, or a Colorado rapids soccer game. The Broncos training camp at Dove Field will be open to visitors as well.

Here are the details and logistics:
