Speaking Chess: A Chess Glossary
Like other formal endeavors--including games--chess has its own language. Terms are the "building blocks" of chess; and all players--from World Champions on down to the youngest novice--will learn to "speak chess," using established terms and language.
Many terms become second nature to us, so much that we may not even recognize them as special terms. They can be defined and when we hear their definitions--and think about them--we say, 'Ah yes! I know that term!'
Here is a Crossword that provides definitions for terms that are part of 'Speaking Chess.' The terms function as part of an overall 'Chess Glossary' which we employ: whether we recognize we are doing so...or not!
I hope you enjoy this 'Speaking Chess: A Chess Glossary'!
