Powerful BISHOPS
Bishops are strong pieces, also useful in open position. They are very important, when we have both bishops on the board in open position and our opponent have a bishop and a knight or two knights. We call it the pair of bishops.
We could start from my game during Polish Youth Olympiad. It is good approach to strong bishops in King's Indian Defense and fighting on a long diagonal. I played that game, when I was 13 years old. I feel it was very convincing and mature play.
Next example shows the very strong pair of bishops when we could attack on the king in the center. That was a blitz game and only because of that, there was a huge number of black's mistakes.
