Fair Play Update - June 2025
Hey everyone — I'm back with an update for June!
We closed 119k players this month including 25 titled players, one of the largest monthly closure counts (at least for titled players) we've ever recorded. The team has made improvements in surfacing suspicious stretches (alliteration unintentional 🙂) of play both in and outside of our events that has helped speed up our time to review and to action cheaters. This, coupled with the fact that we're constantly reviewing player histories with our refined methods to determine if cheating occurred in the past, contributes to the uptick we saw in June.
In the world of fair play news, Kassa authored a blog that gives a high level breakdown of the more than 100,000 fair play closures we are now consistently seeing each month. The blog explores these closures by looking both at the number of games played and the account age of a typical cheating account before it gets closed. It's great to see the strides we've made on both of these metrics in 2025, be sure to check out the blog here. We hope to expand on this breakdown more in the future!
Finally, we decided to unify multiple disparate articles surrounding cheating and fair play into one centralized location. For newer and seasoned members of the community alike, this is a great place to get an overview of what cheating is and what we do to combat it. You'll find our fair play policy, basic statistics about closures, prize event requirements, testimonials, helpful answers to FAQs, and more on this page. Check it out and let us know what you think!
That's all for now, catch you next time!
