Ultra Bullet Corona Classics!

During this time of quarantine and staying at home, the Ultra Bullet Chess League has been doing a event called Corona Classics: 2 divisions of 12 players have entered, after 3 rounds the top 4 players of each division advanced to play in the Quarter Finals! Want to join the fun? thelegend759 has been dominating the season, so it is not a surprise he advances to the Semifinals with a huge sweep. This was his 3rd clean sweep in the tournament!

Here thelegend pulls off a dirty opening:

Typewriter44 vs Kyanbui 4.5-15.5 

 This match was clearly favoured to the lower seed, Kyan who had a unfortunate matchup against thelegend759 in the 3rd round, dropping him to 3rd seed, despite being the 2nd highest rated player.

But he continues to the Semifinals after beating Typewriter 10.5-4.5 in the 30sec portion.

In this game, Type gets a 3 fold-repetition against Kyan: 

GoPikachu vs edr0nt 11-9

Pika, the highest seed in Division B advances with a narrow match of 11-9. Had Pika messed up one game, he would have had to have a 10sec face off. After scoring 10-5 in the 30sec portion, the Canadian only needed to draw 1 match in the 10|1 portion, but Pika only scored 1-4 in that portion, barely sneaking into the Semifinals. 

Here is the game that got Pika 11 points and makes him advance to the Semifinals:

Unfortunately this match was not played due to stevis not seeing the negotiation thread or something :/ youhadyourchance advanced by forfeit to play GoPikachu in the Semifinals.

thelegend continues his sweep against Kyan, only losing 3 games in the 30sec portion!

Kyan started the match winning 2-1, but after a IM gets in the grove, nothing can stop them!

Despite the fact that Kyan had scored 5.5 points in round 3, thelegend came back with vengeance and did not show any mercy to his opponent, taking the match 17-3.

GoPikachu vs youhadyourchance 4-16

GoPikachu was very lucky to make it to the Semifinals after a very close quarterfinals and round 3 victory. youhadyourchance took a quick match after winning the 30sec portion 12-3 and then scoring 4-1 in the 10|1 portion. 

Here is Pika's deadly Wall Of Death(WOD) in action! It has its perks of confusing the player and ending the game quickly!

Thelegend ends the tournament undefeated! Only losing 10.5 games throughout the tourney! Thelegend takes the final round only losing 1 game in the 30 sec portion and 1 game in the 10|1 portion.
