Best Opening for White
Earlier I made a blog about the 4 best openings for white (https://www.chess.com/blog/Alpha14110/the-4-best-openings-for-white). In this blog I would like to tell you another good opening in detail for white.
Réti Opening
The Réti Opening
The Réti Opening is a hypermodern opening that focuses on giving a secure position for the king and developing the knight to a good square. It is very flexible and can quickly transpose into The English Opening, The King's Indian Attack or the Réti Gambit. Black's main response after Nf3 is d5, developing a pawn towards the center.
- Transposition into Réti Gambit-
Black can also play-
Transposition into the King's Indian Attack-
The King's Indian Attack
For more information on The King's Indian Attack check this blog out- https://www.chess.com/blog/Alpha14110/the-kings-indian-attack
Fact- The Réti Opening was named after the Czechoslovakian Grandmaster Richard Réti who was a big supporter of hypermodernism.
