All games in this blog were played on Lichess.
Recently, I beat my first 2000 in a legit game. 2+1
Here is that game, which was played in an online tournament:
I had 85% Accuracy, and they had 81% accuracy.
This was the last game in the tournament, giving me the 4 points i needed to get a solid 125th out of 960 (Arena)
I played against a lot of people above my rating level, because for some reason I had a 1700 performance level even though I am 1400 at the moment.
Some more games in this Arena:
I played 2 games with the same person, and they lost the first game, so they thought it would be a great idea to PLAY THE SAME EXACT OPENING!
This is the first game, where he played the Englund Gambit Complex: Hartlaub-Charlick Gambit.
Amazingly, he decided to play the same exact Englund Gambit Complex: Hartlaub-Charlick Gambit against me 2 games later. This game was interesting, I missed some good opportunities and made some blunders. It also looked very threatening for black, but The Fish later said that there were not that many weaknesses with good play.
Here is a game where I was winning, but lost due to time stress. Great game though, and my opponent was a skilled player.
I was winning at +5.7 at the highest point, but forgot about my plan to use the pawn pin and take the unprotected pawn. In hindsight, that was very stupid, but hindsight is 20/20 so, we have to move on from our past.
The Final game I am going to show here is my game against the highest rated player I played.
There is not much I can say about this game, after a blunder, It went all downhill, and my opponent took the opportunity and pushed me to a loss. Great game for my opponent. for me, not so much. Very surprised that they are not yet a master at 2700, but I understand.
Hope you enjoyed the blog, and learned something!
