Chapter 1: The Heroing
Raiden was enjoying being a superhero, he was exactly what everyone thought he would be: just like literally every other superhero. When people saw him, they were hopeful he would be just as heroic as superheroes like Spider-man and Iron-man. And the thing the public enjoyed more than anything is that for once Ireland was the country that got the very first superhero. That had probably shocked the USA. The public cheered when he came to stop robbers, for everyone else, it was so amazing every time he stopped some bank-robber.
Though things that are loved are also hated. People getting angry at him for not stopping the tiniest of crimes like jay-walking or stealing newspapers. This Raiden couldn't understand.
Catching the same old robbers time after time again was losing its adrenaline, no one could find out how to just instantly kill him. Another problem Raiden found was that he wasn't getting paid for any of this. I should ask the government to pay me for the amount of crimes I stop, thought Raiden. Yes, there may have been an excessive amount of flaws in this. But at least he was adored by most of the public. Wait... no. He barely even had time to do this whole superhero thing. He had school and homework.
Raiden was thinking about this too much, and he was in the middle of a fight. Suddenly, rage overcame him and before he knew it, his hand-sword had impaled the robber. The crowd just stared at him in shock. "The hell was that!?", an angry citizen called. "Keep your urges in check!" Shouted someone else. "Calm down people." Raiden said calmly. And then the cans started flying in his direction. He catapulted out and got safely home, into his room, and turned to normal. "Sweetie!" His mum called. "Yes, what?" Raiden called back. No answer. He hated when his mum called his name then didn't answer when he called back... He decided to just go to bed, it was late anyway.
Chapter 2: The Secret
Raiden woke up the next day feeling extremely frustrated. "Woo-hoo, it's Monday." He sarcastically muttered to himself. He went downstairs and had a bowl of Coco Pops because for some reason you can't find any lucky charms in Ireland. His mum was still sleeping, as usual, since he woke up early all the time. He put on his School uniform and headed off to his school. "Hi, Tony." said Raiden from across the room. "Hi, Raiden." Tony said nervously. "What's wrong? you seem... off." "Lean in closer, Ray, there's something I need to tell you." "Huh? What is it?" "Nah, I'll tell you later, come over after school." "Ah, really? Could you not tell me now? I'm after getting the new Moképon game." "Firstly, you sound like your dad, and Secondly, yes I do have to tell you later, it's important that we have complete and utter privacy in this discussion, Kapish?" "Fine" Raiden Muttered under his breath.
The rest of the school the day carried out fine, nothing out of the ordinary happened, which Raiden found very relaxing. Well anyway, it was probably some lousy, unimportant theory on that new show he was watching, what was it. Oh yeah, the magic sword of Utopia paradise land. But anyway, school was over, it was time to learn about whatever it was that Tony had to say...
Chapter 3: The Speculation
Raiden couldn't help but feel curious, what was his best friend hiding from him? As he walked through the streets, the thoughts in his head began to get more concerning. Was it about a crush? Was it about fight? Was it about a murder? Finally, Raiden had reached Tony's house, and rang the doorbell. Tony appeared shortly after. "Great, you're here, get inside," He whispered quickly, "We haven't got much time." "O... Kay...." Raiden said. Raiden followed Tony to the basement, where Tony turned on the light. "Okay, Raiden, I'm not gonna sweeten this news in any way, this is just gonna come out how it is," Then two words came from his mouth that chilled Raiden down to the spine. "I'm Dying."
Chapter 4: The Infection
"What do you mean you're dying? You're still so young, how did that happen?" "Okay, Raiden, I'll start from the very start... So you know how my dad works at the steel factory? Yeah, okay then, it was bring your child to work day there and my dad found it as the perfect opportunity to bring me there. It was pretty cool and all at the start until we got to the area where they made magnets. There was a massive container of magnetic metals there, and I fell in after leaning too far on the rails. The chemicals weren't dangerous to normally fall in but while I was falling I cut my neck on the railings and the chemicals seeped in. I was immediately taken to the hospital and the doctors said that I had 48 hours to live and now, my friend, we are at the final hour."
"Wait, never mind," Tony muttered, "We're at the final minute." "Damnit, Tony didn't you even try to find some cure." "I tried, man, but it's no use, wait..." Then suddenly, Tony fell to the floor, kicking his legs and flailing his arms around, screaming in agony. But instead of dying, something else happened, his body began to melt, inhumane screams filling the air. And, based on a lucky guess, his mind was also turning to mush. The skin fully melted away revealing a magnet like design, like a robot. In one last effort of humanity, Tony turned to Raiden and said, "Run" and then the explosion hit.
Chapter 5: The Enemy
Raiden was thrown back at the wall, hitting it with full force before he could transform. He transformed the moment he hit the floor. He lay on the floor, waiting for the rumbling to stop. When it did stop, he looked around for Tony, but only saw what he had become, floating in the air, electricity keeping him up. "Tony, get down now and we can talk." But instead of getting a rational answer, all he heard was a hysterical... Insane laugh. "I'm not Tony anymore, you can call, me Magneé. Anyway, I feel like killing you instead of being your friend." And when that first plate of metal was thrown against Raiden, he knew that the friend he once knew as Tony was gone.
Chapter 6: The fight
Raiden dodged the first one, barely escaping its grasp. Once he found a pattern in Magneé's attacks, he found himself an opportunity to strike, it wasn't like he was going to change his pattern, he was totally bonkers after all. When he threw the next plate of metal, Raiden took the opportunity and jumped, stretching out his arm, striking Magneé in the face. While the pain overpowered Magneé's senses, Raiden jumped up and swiped his legs clean off. Oil sprayed from the wounds.
To comeback, Magneé transformed his hands. One of them into a cannon and he made one triple sized. Before Raiden could even react, a metal fist slammed into his cheek, followed by a number of plasma bullets. Using his last bit of strength, Raiden launched his arms at Magneé's arms absorbing the metal from them. Then, after taking the arms, took the body as well. The head clanked to the floor. And an angry expression crossed Magneé's face. "I'll be back, you just wait and see, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" Then, the head blasted off, disappearing into the sunset.
Raiden watched him disappear, he didn't follow him, he physically couldn't, and with his final bit off strength, he transformed back, and then everything went black.
