What exactly are 'hidden gems' in chess?

One example would be a drawn chess game with many valuable lessons, that most people missed because they thought 'Oh, it's just a boring draw' without looking deeper at the game.

Another example is a great post that somehow no-one sees.

Anyway, it's late and I have some instructive chess videos to help you improve your chess game.

I won't show them all in this post - subscribe to my channel if you want all the good stuff

Instead, I'll just share my Round 3 and Round 4 recaps of the 2022 Tata Steel Masters.

Round 3:

And Round 4:

I promise the titles make sense as you start to watch the videos

I'll be continuing with these recaps for the Tata Steel 2022 event to its conclusion, including a catch-up recap on the Tata Steel Challengers tomorrow while the participants have their first rest day.

Comment below - what was your favourite game from the videos?

Also, if you are rated 2000+ and want to do the 20% of things that get you 80% of the results (instead of the 80% of things that get you 20% of the results), message me at http://m.me/max.illingworth.16

Are You A Chess Player Who Wants To Improve 100-200 Points In The Next 3 Months?

I'm looking for students who:

- Are passionate about chess;

- Are based in Australia, the Americas or East Asia;

- Are rated above 1600 (if you're below 1600, I have a curriculum to get you to 1600+ rapidly);

- Want to improve your chess as quickly, efficiently, and enjoyably as possible;

Once I reach my limit, I won't accept any more private students.

To discover more about how I can help you improve your play and subsequently, raise your chess ratings quickly, send me an email at illingworthchess@gmail.com, or direct message me on Facebook: m.me/max.illingworth.16
