I got a starting FIDE rating of 2030 as a 12-year old.
I went from 1900 to nearly 2100 national rating in one rating period.
I went from a 1963 national rating to a 2303 national rating in one year - and my FIDE rating increased from 2000 to 2250 in that same one year.
I still remember the successes and the struggles on that path to chess mastery.
Now, I'm giving back and showing other chess players (specifically, those rated 1800+) how they can become chess masters, too.
