Avengers: Doomsday Official Cast Announcement Reaction

I know why Robert Downey Jr. was cast as Victor Von Doom.

My uncle was actually the one who said this, but I'm pretty sure he was cast because of the major ( Haha. See what I did there? Because... like... JONATHAN Majors??? ...it'll make sense in a second. )  shift from The Kang Dynasty to Doomsday.

Because of some giant felony or sum Jonathan Majors committed, ( hehe 🤣🤣🤣 ) he was stripped from the role of Kang, who was introduced as some sort of the "next Thanos" in Ant-Man 3.

What I believe is that Marvel didn't have enough time ( Wink Wink 😉 ) to hype people up for an entirely different film after cancelling The Kang Dynasty, so they went for an insanely different approach no one else probably would have thought of...

...................................................yeah. They just cast RDJ. That was the solution.

If you're confused, basically, my thoughts are that Marvel cast RDJ as Doom to get everyone already wanting to see the film even before any advertisements or anything like that was released. It's genius, if you really think about it. Millions of people are already sold on another Avengers movie JUST because they saw Iron Man............ with a new mask. 

...but the same task.

Anyway, in today's blog I will be reacting to the official cast of Doomsday all the way from Thor to Shang-Chi. So... yeah.

Chris Hemsworth as Thor Odinson-

Don't ask me why, but Chris Hemsworth was the first Avenger announced to be returning for Avengers 5. ( Dang. When you put it like that... WHOO. 😯 )

I never watched Love And Thunder because I heard it had some bad stuf in it so I'll probably be super confused every time I see him on screen, but......... whatever.

Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America-

Can't wait to see Sam with the shield... in an AVENGERS movie. 🔥🔥🔥

Will he be the leader? It's unfortunate that I have to say "I hate to say it", but... I hate to say it, that's what it seemed like Marvel was poking at in Brave New World.

At the end of the film, Sam says he's bringing the Avengers back together again.

In my opinion, ( Even though I'm not all for it ) it only seems fair that the guy to start it all back up again should be the guy to lead what he just........... started back up again. 🤣

ANYWAYS, we can move on now.

Letitia Wright as Shuri/Black Panther-

Even though I absolutely despised Wakanda Forever, I'm actually pretty excited to see Black Panther again............... yay.

Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man-

He's back to look out for the little guy. 🫡

Hope he recovered from that "bad cake" heh... heh... I don't know.

Simu Liu as Shang-Chi-

I never finished the Shang-Chi film because almost half of it was in Chinese and I felt like I was reading an entire novel worth of subtitles.

I also never finished it because it was kinda trash. ( The only reason I wanted to watch it in the first place was because I heard a sequel was coming out and I wanted to see every single MCU movie on the big screen that I could possibly see; but then it turned out to be garbage )

Soooooooooooooo... I don't really know how I feel about this. 🥸

Shang-Chi should stay in his own film series. 😐

Danny Ramirez as Falcon Torres-

Good to hear he's recovered from his injury and is joining the Avengers. ( He's technically the first to join since he's the only one that even knows the Avengers are coming back again 🥸 )

Winston Duke as M'Baku-

This guy is so sigma.

I may have misunderstood but I thought I heard rumors that Bucky would DIE in Thunderbolts*. In the moment, that honestly made a bit of sense. I was worried. ( What is this new concept??? 💩 )

…and then Marvel decided it would be a good idea to announce the cast of Avengers: Doomsday. SPOILER ALERT: HE MADE THE LIST! 💩

I don’t know WHAT Marvel was thinking releasing this before F4 and Thunderbolts*; you can just look around and any people you DON’T see confirmed from those 2 films you can already assume are goners; this is the MCU, not Sonic The Hedgehog.

…soooooooooooooo, yeah. The Winter Soldier’s confirmed to return! 💩

Wyatt Russell as John Walker/Captain America ( For Like 2 Seconds )-

"Hate" is a strong word so I'm just going to say... I don't like this guy too much. 💩

Not very excited to see him return.

Florence Pugh as Yelana/Black Widow & David Harbour as Alexi/The Red Guardian & Hannah John-Kamen as Ava/Ghost-

Cool. They all survived... except Taskmaster. RIP. ( Not a very big surprise ) 💩

Lewis Pullman as Bob-

Still have like no clue who this jit is but guess what? Apparently he survives Thunderbolts*.

Kelsey Grammer as Beast-

THE X-MEN ARE ( Officially ) COMING TO THE MCU.

Shooooooot. I was NOT expecting this. ( I mean, I was expecting it, it just happened very suddenly and a LOT earlier than I thought )

Anyways, many people don't know this, but Beast was actually the first ( Technically second, ig ) X-Men character to appear in the MCU. When did he appear, you ask? In a post-credits scene... for one of the most hated MCU movies of all time...

The Marvels ( AKA Captain Marvel 2 )

It's actually super confusing, really. Apperentally, Marvel ( Or someone official; I don't remember where I heard this ) announced a little while after The Marvels was released that the post-credits scene which supposedly set up an X-Men/Avengers clash was SCRAPPED, meaning that whatever Marvel was planning to do from there was completely erased.

My point is... I think it was un-erased. 💩

First they made Deadpool & Wolverine which was LITERALLY an X-Men movie in the MCU, then they announced all this.

Now, I know what you're thinking: "But, @Jehtt, it's only one character! Don't you think you're jumping the gun a little bit here?" And I say: "No."

...there are more.

Patrick Stewart as Professor X & Ian McKellen as Magneto-

The dynamic duo are back... this time, in the MCU. ( "Wow! That one-liner was so cool, @Jehtt!" )

…............yeah... I think I'm gonna need to watch the X-Men franchise again.🫠

Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler-

From what I've seen of him, this actor is super weird but I really don't care about that; Nightcrawler's back! He was introduced in X2... and then we never saw him again... until now.

I was sad that he was missing from The Last Stand ( Along with a lot of other things, wink wink 😉 ) and then I got even more sad when I found out he... well... he was never coming back.

We did see a... *Cough Cough* version of him in the First Class series, but... really, I'm not even sure you can say that.

*Clears Throat*

Yeah.

Point is, I'm really excited to see this character again, lez go.

Rebecca Romijn as Mystique-

Erm... in The Last Stand, Mystique was demutantized and Magneto left her on the floor, naked; she lost her powers to shape-shift and is probably running around town rn trying to find a clothing store.

TLS is my second least favorite X-Men film of all time bc it just had too many blank spaces by the end of it all. That movie was supposed to be the "Endgame" of the XCU but it turned out to be the "trash... game..."

...I'm not proud of that.

What I'm trying to say is TLS was a very poorly written conclusion to the XCU and I'm excited to see if Marvel can somehow pick up all these broken pieces and make something great.

James Marsden as Cyclops-

I love how I just went on this long rant about The Last Stand and then ended it by saying something hopeful... and now I'm talking bad about it again. 🥸

In The Last Stand, ( Hehe ) when Cyclops kissed Jean or sum, his mouth filled with grapes or sum, and he exploded... or sum.

Just another thing the Russo brothers have to straighten out here with this X-Men clash; I honestly think all this should have been saved for Secret Wars and not this one, but... I'm not the director. heh... heh... or am I?

Channing Tatum as Gambit-

We got a D&W actor in this film........................... why. 💩

Channing Tatum is honestly just a bad actor. ( Dog is maaaaaaaaaaaad trash ) Why can't Marvel just get this jit back: ( Why do I keep saying "jit" 🤣 )

...I just don't know about this casting change. As you could probably tell, I never saw D&W ( Or any of the other Deadpool films, for that matter ) and I don't plan on doing it.

Many people don't agree, but X-Men had a good thing going with Wolverine's origin story, imo. Wade was actually kinda funny and NOT in an inappropriate way, the plot was nice, and I liked almost everything about it. ( A little dramatic, but true 🤪 )

Anyways, I guess we'll just have to see with Gambit, but any actor from Deadpool is not MCU worthy. ( I'm not even gonna say "imo" bc that's just facts; and also, I don't care that D&W is "tEcHnIcAlLy" a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe; it's not )

• BRUCE BANNER/THE HULK- Marvel has done 2 projects about the Hulk recently ( She-Hulk & Brave New World ) so I guess I'm not completely surprised he's not been confirmed yet and honestly, I'm pretty okay with that; get out, Mark Ruffalo
• DOCTOR STRANGE- Didn't watch Multiverse Of Madness and like Deadpool, don't plan on it; so maybe there's a reason he's not been confirmed, but idk...
• NICK FURY- "Last time I trusted someone, I lost an eye."
