Every Promised Land Episode Ranked

This statement might come out a bit strange at first, but... hear me out... you never know what to expect from a Christian show.

What I mean by that is what if it's not Biblically accurate? What if the studio has a differing perspective on something? What if they start getting a bit too creative with what they add in? The Promised Land isn't perfect in these categories, but it is a pretty darn fun watch. 🤣

In today's blog, I will be reviewing and ranking each episode of the new series. So, enjoy!

Season 1- Episode 1
PILOT

I absolutely cannot believe I discovered this show when I did and not sooner. 🤣

Season 1- Episode 2
SINAI

I found this second episode quite funny, maybe even a bit more than the first, BUT... the ending was VERY strange with the storm on the mountain and I didn't find the "women's hour" side-plot too interesting, either. 🤷

Season 1- Episode 3
PITFALLS

This one was kind of disappointing, if I'm being honest. The first half or so was fun, but then I feel like they were pushing it a little with the Miriam side-plot, throwing in a bit more of the today's world kind of thing in there, if you know what I mean. Also, I felt like in this episode they really started to stray away from the "Office" kind of vibe and started leaning more into the "Chosen" vibe. I just feel like this show is not like how it started off anymore. 🫤 (I guess what I'm trying to say is I was not prepared for an actually serious episode in this series 🤣)

Season 1- Episode 4
OFFERING

Wow. I was EXTREMELY surprised with how well they bounced back for this one. I was impressed (Particularly with this episode) how they balanced the comedy and the seriousness... that was very 🔥... (lol idk bro 🤣)

Season 1- Episode 5
BONES

Another very good episode, and even though they did take some creative liberties, I believe this show is officially back to how it was when it started: the comedy's back, the "Office" vibe is back, the joke about Moses's boys is back, but I'm still wondering if we'll ever see that Seth guy again... 🤣

Season 1- Episode 6
PRESENCE

I was there for the premiere of this episode... I mean... how often do you get to say that??? 😆

This was a very powerful, fun, and worth-while finale... besides that one part where Joshua preforms as a jester with clown makeup on at a random guy's birthday party assisting some random magician with the weirdest-sounding voice in the world, but... let's just say that never happened. 😳🤣

Anyways, this episode definitely set up a season 2 with the cliffhanger of Chisisi's family coming and just the ending in general of Aaron asking over and over and over if they're going to the promised land, which... let's not forget, they're not even CLOSE to yet. 😆😆😆

Also, just further proof that there will most likely 100% be more to come, the director literally said that he wants to do 40 episodes and a full-length film in the near future. 👀👇🤣 (35:02 in video)

Anyways... got a little off track there... 🤣

Yes, this show can be cheesy at times...

Yes, they can take some creative liberates...

Yes, this show is only 6 episodes long, which is really just depressing, BUT... was it true to the Bible and really fun to watch?

Heck yeah... well... for the most part... 😉🤣
