Freakier Friday Movie Review

When iconic films come back after decades and do a sequel like Top Gun, Mary Poppins, and Gladiator, (Just to name a few 😉) I'm willing to bet about 70% of the people going to see those sequels grew up on the originals. Well, I watched the original Freaky Friday 2 weeks ago for the very first time, and, uhhh... I saw Freakier Friday in the theater a couple days ago. 🤣🤣🤣

So, yeah; no nostalgia for me, but I still thought this movie was so freaking awesome. 🎸😎😆

So... here's something funny... as you probably know, this switch was a bit more... confusing: Anna switches with her daughter, Harper, and Tess switches with Anna's soon-to-be step-daughter, Lily. (Watch the video below for more information 👇)

I thought I would be good-to-go stepping into that theater knowing all that but boy was I wrong. It was actually really hard to think about who was who that I couldn't even think about thinking; so... that's why I only have like 6 or 7 notes today. 💩🤣 (I might have more whenever I re-watch, but, for now, this is all I got 💀👇😆)

• Jake was even freakier in this one somehow, no comment 🤣
• The first 30 minutes of the movie I literally forgot that the whole "switch" plot was about to come up, I'm not even joking; that whole chunk of time was just developing character (Which they actually did a great job of lol) so I wasn't even thinking about all 'at during that part 🤣
• I was so happy that they brought the brother back for like 3 seconds I had no idea that was gonna happen 😁😆
• I felt like it was dumb that they showed the members of Pink Slip before their big performance at the end; it should have been like a "dude, we're getting the band back together" moment 🤣

• Was that the same "Take Me Away" recording at the end 💀🤣
• Not me rocking out to "Better Than the Last One (Ella)" 👇😆 (Why did they actually make the full song tho 🤣)

• Wish we got one last interaction between the girls and the Madame Jen lady at the end; I mean, the last we saw of her was at a random Starbucks 💩

All in all, I really thought that this one was better than the first, and it may or may not be in my top 5 2025 movie rankings, so... 🤫🤣
