My Reaction To The 2026 CinemaCon
Warner Bros. just apologized for chicken jockey AND we got a huge footage description of the Avengers: Doomsday trailer shown exclusive at this year's absolutely insane and hype CinemaCon. Yet again, it's just crazy to me how I wasn't invited. I mean, I know it's like $1,500... for lunch... but, I would have managed. Just a dent in my college savings. It would have been worth it. No biggie. Except I would have walked out of the room like a little baby when all the horror stuff was being showcased because there were literally like 900 of those movies. 😊🤣 Welcome to my reaction to the 2026 CinemaCon... from home... 😭😅
SONY

THE BREADWINNER
What Was Presented: Exclusively Released New Footage
Some new footage was shown exclusively to the audience and honestly, I don't care. I'm REALLY looking forward to this one, but I don't want all the jokes being spoiled in these trailers lol. They just released a second trailer a couple weeks ago and I only watched it once, barely paying attention to it because studios tend to put the best jokes in the trailers. 💩 (But I do wish I was there to see Nate come on stage live at the panel haha who knew that would happen? 🙃 Hold up isn't he on a comedy tour rn? 🤔🤣)

SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY
What Was Presented: Publicly Released New Posters & Exclusively Released New Clips
2 new "teaser" posters were released publicly along with one full scene from the film, but that was only exclusive to CinemaCon's audience. They kinda just dropped the official trailer, so I'm honestly not too mad that they didn't release the new clip publicly; plus, all these CinemaCon people have no fear in giving straight up word for word dialogue and commentary from the footage, so... 💩🤣
Below is my reaction to the 2 teaser posters we got. 👇😎

- Poster #1: Spider-Man & The Hand- Alright, what's the deal with these Hand people? Apparently they are associated with Daredevil... and Daredevil is associated with Punisher... and both the Punisher and the Hand are in this movie... thanks to the Luke Cage actor guy, people are now suspecting that in the scene where Peter is fighting the Hand in a prison, it's because he's breaking Daredevil out of jail... and this gives me an excuse to talk about how Daredevil could either save or ruin this movie; the way that he could ruin this movie is the fact that he and Punisher are both R-rated characters, which could lead to a much more mature and ruined final cut, but if I'm gonna be completely honest, I really liked Daredevil in She-Hulk even though I barely knew anything about him, and She-Hulk was TV-14... so... obviously Marvel has proved that they can introduce R-rated characters into more PG-13 things, but... I think it's still worrying how they have the power to do such a thing, iykwim 🤷
- Poster #2: MJ In Spider-Man's Lens- As I will get to in a second, this makes me kind of sad because it reminds me too much of Tobey's Spider-Man, which I did not want them to get into, but... yeah, overall, this is a pretty great poster; especially compared to the seemingly fan-made poster I used as the background of my Brand New Day trailer reaction 💩😅
Then, like I said, they showed a clip from the film exclusively. Below is my reaction to the footage based on descriptions released from CinemaCon reporters:
- This wasn't exactly part of the footage shown, but Tom did say right before showing the scene to everyone that this movie is "the most emotional and most grown up" Spider-Man film yet; I didn't really note this in my trailer reaction, but I am kind of disappointed that this doesn't seem like a comedy franchise anymore; I was happy to hear a couple days ago that they are doing re-shoots to include some more comical elements, but I feel like that just shows even more how much they were pushing for a more serious Spider-Man film similar to Tobey's; but the truth is, (And sure, I might be one of the only ones that thinks this, but...) I don't want it to be like Tobey's; each of the Tom Holland sequels had a really fun, upbeat, and lighthearted spin to them because of how Tom's real personality--fun, upbeat, and lighthearted--made it's way into each of the installments he popped up in; I feel like it's not Tom Holland without that spark... so that's why I'm against making this a super serious franchise again 😊
- "Peter hangs up from the phone, and watches as Ned buys two mini-kegs of Green Jackel beer"
First of all, I find it scary how these CinemaCon reporters can catch the exact amount, brand, and kind of beer Ned buys by watching the trailer once; second of all, I cannot believe that Ned is buying beer; I feel like it was 2 seconds ago when I first watched Homecoming and he was like 2 years old 🤣 (Not me knowing that like a single minute later in the clip Peter gets handed a beer at a party 🙏😭😅 A lot of drinking already 💀) - Apparently after the clip with Ned, the audience also got to see an extended clip of Peter's eyes turning red/black or whatever like we saw in the first trailer; as you probably know if you read my trailer reaction, I did not like the look or sound of that whole Man-Spider thing so if they go over the top with that, I'm being SO serious, it could completely... and I mean COMPLETELY ruin the film; even though I'm really excited for this one overall, this could the actual tipping point of it ALL; DOES IT LOOK LIKE I'M KIDDING 🥸🤣

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
What Was Presented: Publicly Released New Images & Exclusively Released Opening Scene
4 still images were released publicly along with the opening scene of the film, but that was only exclusive to CinemaCon's audience. This film I think they did the best job hyping up at this entire panel so far. Like... for one thing, they released stuff publicly rather than keeping it all private, but also, like... this movie doesn't come out until next summer... and everyone is hyped; kinda like Secret Wars even though a full, theatrical trailer for Doomsday hasn't even been released yet. 🤣
Below is my reaction to the 4 still images we got. 👇😎

- Image #1: Miles & Jeff- Absolutely beautiful background with the sunset and the other crazy radiant colors they threw in there but Miles' eyes look like they are completely in love it's kind of scary 😭😅
- Image #2: Miguel & Miles- Seriously stunning; Sony is ABSOLUTELY the greatest animation studio to ever do it; I'm at a loss for words (Also, bro... I can't even begin to tell you how much of an upgrade these images are compared to the ones released last Cinemacon 🙏 CLICK HERE)
- Image #3: Spider-Punk- Ok, this image is awesome; not just because of Spider-Punk and his crazy cool animation style, but it confirms that Miles will return back home from Earth 42 fairly early on in the film because he's obviously talking strait TO Miles saying "gonna save YOUR dad" (But at the same time, I really vaguely remember him saying this in ACROSS The Spider-Verse like how they re-used a picture of Miles last year at CinemaCon... hmmmmm... COMMENT BELOW WHAT YOU THINK!)
- Image #4: Aaron & Jeff- Alright at first, I'm gonna be honest, I really didn't like the look of this image because it's quite literally setting up a flashback with Aaron and Jeff; but now that I think about it, I've honestly always wanted to know what the beef is between those 2 since Jeff's weird comments about Aaron being a "bad guy" and whatnot in ITSV; sure, a flashback is not what I expected and could be super awkward and weird, but I think it is necessary... maybe...
Then, like I said yet again, they showed the opening scene of the film exclusively. Below is my reaction to the footage based on descriptions released from CinemaCon reporters:
- It's kind of crazy how they're going to act like there was not a 4 year gap in between this movie and ATSV picking it up THE SECOND #2 ended 🤣
- So, we have a confirmed "Don't watch the mouth, watch the hands" call back within the first 2 minutes of the movie... this is super picky of me, but honestly, I feel like #1, they have called this back before; #2, if they were going to call it back again at all, I think they should have waited until the very, very end; same thing with how we just had it confirmed that Miles would be pleading with the Earth 42 Miles to let him go and save his dad; we quite literally got that scene at the end of ATSV 💩
- Kingpin was reported to be seen towards the very end of this footage in a quick montage of action sequences... WHAT?!?! Ok, I already hate this idea; WHY are they doing this? The movie's crowded enough; the Spot, saving Jeff, Earth 42 and everyone else there, etc... bringing back the villain of movie #1 is a really odd move to me right now even though this is "the final chapter of Miles' story"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
What Was Presented: Publicly Released Title Reveal & Exclusively Released New Trailer
I'm so happy. "Open World" is a 🔥 title (Which doesn't exactly guarantee that it's the FINAL movie in the franchise cuz... it's not sum like "The FINAL Level" which people were rumouring before... ya know? 🤣) and this movie sounds awesome. I didn't want to pay too much attention to all the footage descriptions of the official trailer that dropped exclusively at the panel because #1, it was super confusing in the way that the reporters worded all the stuff with the humans in the video game character's bodies, plus there was something about a rando Spanish accent and it's just not fun to read a description of trailer that hasn't even been releaced publicly yet... which is why, #2, I'm seriously hoping they release this trailer online soon so I can really unpack it all. 😅
But, I truly believe this film is going to be out of this world like the past 2 "reboots", even though I still have to catch up and watch the ORIGINAL Jumanji for the very first time... which I heard was creepy... which I hope they don't adaptinto this one... 🤣
STUDIOCANAL

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
What Was Presented: 2 New Films Confirmed
I thought it was insane when they announced a Paddington 3 randomly a couple years ago which actually turned out pretty great 🤣 but now that we're standing here with a fourth PLUS a teased all animated spinoff? Uhhhh... I mean, they might turn out nice, but I just feel that they're milking this franchise for no good reason? Not saying it's bad/going to be bad in any way, but forced? That's how I would probably say it.
WARNER BROS.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
What Was Presented: Publicly Released Title Reveal & Exclusively Released Promo Song
Bruh Warner Bros. just created a new division for their movies that literally have "lower budgets"?!? 🤣 (I mean, ig it's smart to have a little organisation among the different movies they produce, but... it kind of sounds mean and stupid to title one of the own studio's movies "low budget"... am I wrong? 😅) But, yeah, you guessed it, A Minecraft SEQUEL, the new absolutely PEAK title of A Minecraft Movie 2 is NOT gonna be one of those movies. 🤣
Jack Black literally sang a new song to the tune of Steve's Lava Chicken promoting this second movie... and I can't find it leaked online anywhere. 🙏😭😅

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
What Was Presented: Exclusively Released Promos From Actors
Wait I actually can't believe this just happened. We got a Man Of Tomorrow presentation HOURS before a Supergirl presentation. 🤣
The idea that Superman and Lex are teaming up, which is quite literally kind of all we got from this part of the panel, just the actors talking about an "unlikely alliance", is SO AWESOME AND I CAN'T WAIT. (Although I'm still seriously bothered by the fact that Lex was in Peacemaker and that probably set up this movie 🙏)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
What Was Presented: Publicly Released Cast Announcement
Basically the only thing CinemaCon got from this movie was the official cast announcement which was released publicly as well... and I just can't believe that Andy Serkis went from Animal Farm to this "tale that must never be told" oh nah. 🤣
WAIT GANDALF, THRANDUIL, AND FRODO ARE ALL RETURNING ACTUALLY WHAT BRO ALL THIS NEWS FROM THE PAST COUPLE DAYS HAVE BEEN SO HYPE. 🤯😅 (Don't know much about any of the other actors tho ngl 🤣 Hold up... we got a rando Harfoot named Marigold, Samwise Gamgee's sister is named Marigold, and now we have a new character named Marigol... without the "d" at the end 😭😅)

THE CAT IN THE HAT
What Was Presented: Exclusively Released New Trailer
A brand new trailer was shown exclusively to CinemaCon's audience and I'm kind of surprised by the description of that footage we got; it seems that this film is going in a completely different direction than I thought. So, in the footage description, it really highlights the fact that one of the kinds the Cat has to watch over transports herself to a completely fantasy-like world. Will this be the plot of the film or is this just a random bump in the road? Cuz I thought it was all gonna be super simple and the Cat is just a weird babysitter or sum. 🤣

SUPERGIRL
What Was Presented: Exclusively Released New Clips
Apparently from what I heard, multiple scenes from the movie were shown exclusive to CinemaCon's audience... but the description of the footage we got was INSANELY chaotic. There was something about aliens, something about pirates, something about yellow sun. I gave up trying to understand it after like the first sentence. 🤣 (It might've just been because they were trying to describe a bunch of scenes at once? 🤷)
But, in other news, there's just no way Jason Momoa came on stage with his bike from the movie... how is that even possible??? 😅 (Also, the man has mentioned once or twice that he's excited about this role; by now he might just be turning into Lobo 🤓💩🤣)
UNIVERSAL

MINIONS & MONSTERS
What Was Presented: Exclusively Released New Clip
Yo you have no idea how excited I got when I saw that Nintendo had a special presentation with Illumination... and then it turned out to be Jack Black, YET AGAIN lol, just saying thank you for Mario Galaxy's success. 😭
Then it was this. Illumination showed some new footage from the threequel and it was all centered around the fact that the Minions are actors now. I honestly think they could have done SO MUCH GOOD with that concept, but instead, they disconnected it from Gru and make it super evil and spiritual.
I feel like by now I'm just repeating myself, so until they make an actually good decision for this franchise, I don't care too much anymore.

FOCKER IN-LAW
What Was Presented: Publicly Released Trailer
I haven't watched any of the Meet The Parents movies, but I just watched the trailer for the orginal and for this one... both of them look really fun. (They'll both probably fall under the "brilliant brainrot" category along with Happy Gilmore and A Minecraft Movie 🤓 Or maybe that's just this one; Ariana Grande being a "master puppeteer" and former CIA somebody... that's kind of a strange topic 🤣) So, now that this brand new addition is coming to theaters soon, I have a pretty solid reason to go check the others out. 😎 (btw, this was literally like... the only thing I was kind of intrigued by during the Universal panel it's depressing 🙏)
MGM

MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE
What Was Presented: Exclusively Released New Clip & Trailer
Nooooo Project Hail Mary's theatrical window is being extendeddddddd that means it won't be on Prime like tomorrowwwwwww... but maybe this one will be. 🤣
I'm gonna be honest, I've wanted to talk about this new Masters Of The Universe movie on this blog for a while and now I have a pretty great reason to. 🙃
I haven't played the video games of He-Man and whatnot, and I seriously think that's what's holding me back from being hyped about this movie. I think MGM has some really great stories out there but I think it's SUPER dumb for me to go on and watch this one if I know literally NOTHING about the games that it's based on. The trailers are fun, the footage shown here at CinemaCon sounds very fun, but yet again, I know 0 lore. 💩 (And it might all come crashing down anyways because apparently it's a film "about identity" and there was something about he/him in the trailer and He-Man's actor seems super odd to me... idk)
We shall see sooner or later. (But in the meantime, can we talk about how I didn't even know they were considering a new James Bond? 😅 Believe it or not I haven't seen a single James Bond film in my life because there are literally like 457 of them 🤣)

THE SHEEP DETECTIVES
What Was Presented: Exclusively Released New Trailer
Kind of crazy how almost back to back it's 2 movies I've always wanted to talk about on this blog lol. BREAKING NEWS: I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS MOVIE CALLED THE SHEEP DETECTIVES. 😁 (The reason I say it like that is because I feel like if I make an incredibly big deal out of it, I would look stupid because I don't think very many people even know this movie will be existing soon 🤣)
It sounds like the only footage shown at CinemaCon for this one was a new trailer that pretty much just included the same things we've seen already. But, I actually think the trailers we got already are enough to make me want to see it this May.
It looks so clever and fun: a family-friendly, murder mystery comedy. Plus, somehow Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are producing it even though they literally just did Project Hail Mary and are currently working on Beyond The Spider-Verse, so... I can't find a reason NOT to watch it. 💩😅 (ngl there is a slight chance that I'm not able to see Devil Wears Prada 2 in theaters... so if I don't--which, don't get me wrong, will be upsetting--but if I don't, I'll probably check this one out instead because they release around the same time anyways)
PARAMOUNT
I shall finally speak up about the Netflix, Paramount, and Warner Bros situation.
From day 1 when I heard about the fact that someone new may be getting ahold of Warner Bros/HBO, I was SO happy. I do not have HBO Max but every once in a while, I want to watch a film on there like Blue Beetle, Knight And Day, etc, and have no way to do that.
Sure, I thought there was a pretty huge downside to moving HBO somewhere else and that's the fact that I'm almost 100% sure they have some super dirty stuff streaming there... which, if you can connect the dots, means that everything dirty would not go away, but just move somewhere else like Netflix or Paramount which I do, in fact, use and don't want being infecting by all that crass stuff.
BUT, besides everything I just said in that 393 character sentence that looks like an entire paragraph, I think it would still be a positive outcome overall. So, about my opinion on if either Netflix or Paramount should get it... (ik Paramount's already the winner, but just hear me out 🙃) I think if we're talking about the way the application is structured, meaning how the layout looks and how many glitches there are, I would for sure pick Netflix over Paramount. Netflix has really smooth streaming for movies and TV while Paramount is quite literally the opposite: it's ALWAYS glitching on PC and my physical television. If they add a completely new companies-worth amount of movies on there, the servers just might blow up.
But, if we're talking about what they would do with the content, which is for sure the biggest question here, I honestly might go with Paramount. Netflix seems to always abuse their power over popular franchises like Knives Out, Happy Gilmore, The Bad Guys, etc, and I honestly don't believe that's a big problem with Paramount/Paramount+. Another upside to Paramount buying the company is the fact that they are 90% of the time SO much faster about getting movies to streaming. For example, a single day after I watched PAW Patrol 2 in theaters many years ago, it came to Paramount+.
So, I suppose all in all, I am in favor of Paramount buying the company, as long as they make some major bug fixes to their site/app and trash some of the crass HBO content. But anyways, let's move on to the actual movie news. 💩🤣

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
What Was Presented: Exclusively Released New Clip
I cannot wait for this four-quel thing or whatever you would call it, although I am still dumbfounded that Jim Carrey is coming back AGAIN. I literally said in my club a single day before the "Title Announcement" teaser was released how I would hate it if they resurrected Robotnik without even knowing Jim Carrey would be officially confirmed for the film that next afternoon. 😭🤣
Also, I'm pretty bummed out to hear the only footage they showed yesterday was just Dr. Robotnik appearing "exhausted after breaking down a vault door" and shouting about something. 💩😅 (But OH NO WAY THEY ACKNOWLEDGED TMNT 2 STILL EXISTING RIGHT AFTER PRESENTING THIS ONE 🤩🤣 Then a Call Of Duty movie?!?! I thought that was always just a rumor; at least it's not animated ig 🙏😅)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
What Was Presented: Exclusively Released New Trailer
The footage description we got of Red being a father was really disturbing to me, but at the same time got me so much more excited for the movie. I really like the concept of Red and his friends babysitting, but yeah, the whole father element made me a bit weirded out lol. What are they gonna do? Make it I Can Only Imagine 2 all over again but animated and not Christian and with birds? I can see it now: the most heartfelt Angry Birds movie ever: Red thinks he's a terrible father. 🤣 (Where are the pigs? Will there be any action at all? Who knows; good idea tho ig 😅)
DISNEY

THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU
What Was Presented: Publicly Released New Trailer & Exclusively Released First 18 Minutes
FIRST 18 MINUTES?!?! BRO... WHERE IS IT LEAKED WHERE IS IT LEAKED WHERE IS IT LEAKED WHERE IS IT LEAKED WHERE IS IT LEAKED WHERE IS IT LEAKED WHERE IS IT LEAKED WHERE IS IT LEAKED WHERE IS IT LEAKED WHERE IS IT LEAKE-
Nah I'm just kidding; my source REALLY went for it in telling the people what went down in those 18 minutes, but I kinda tuned out about 2 paragraphs in because #1, it was a seriously long description. #2, do I really want the first 18 minutes of a movie releasing next month described to me? 🤣
Plus, a new, FINAL trailer was shown at the event AND released publicly! Below is my reaction. 👇😎
- Bro where did this trailer come from ik it's CinemaCon and all but... man, the official trailer literally just dropped a single month ago; they just really needed to cram this in before May begins ig 💩
- Star Wars be playing the Jedi music just for nostalgia bait cuz last time I checked this series is about a Mandalorian 🤣
- "We've all heard stories of the Mandalorian bounty hunter and a child..."
But only if you have Disney+ ☝🤓😅 - "I only hunt imperial war criminals"
And occasionally go on missions for Lizzo and Jack Black 😊🤣
"I'll take out any bad guy in your deck of cards"
But only if it involves hunting imperial war criminals? 🤔😅 - When it cut to show the Lucasfilm logo, that was a super weird and abrupt transition 🤓💩
- HOLD UP WAS THAT THE MILLENNIUM FALCON AT MINUTE 0:31 BEHIND ALL THE X-WINGS?!?! 🤯 (jk I'm 1,000% sure they wouldn't do that... I think)
- Pretty sure 2 different creatures with growly voices said "good luck" and "you're gonna need it"; Zeb said "good luck" and the guy that asks "are you scared?" to Grogu I believe was the one that said "you're gonna need it" 🤣 (I'm probably tweaking but... what do you guys think? 😅)
- Yo the entire Babu Frik species is just seriously the single most hilarious thing in Star Wars 🤣 (Speaking of... NOOOOOO BABUUUUUUUU HE WAS YELPING IN THE TRAILER LIKE HE WAS IN DANGERRRRRRRRRR; IF ANY OF THEM DIE I'M GONNA BE SO SAD-MAD)

MOANA
What Was Presented: Exclusively Released New Footage
As you guys know, I hated the newest trailer for this live-action Moana, mostly because of the hyper-realistic animals and just the fact that Moana is absolutely iconic and means so much to so many people including me and I don't want it being ruined in the worst way possible. That's really the reason why I'm so much more defensive about this movie being rebooted than any of the others recently.
And this CinemaCon panel for it did not help their case.
There was girl power agenda already... and it wasn't even in the footage; it was straight out of the MALE LEAD'S mouth. 🙏😭 (FOR SURE not spending money to see this now 💀)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
What Was Presented: Exclusively Released New Clip
Oof Hailee Steinfeld's pretty fine but man... it really had to be a movie full of witchcraft? 😭 (Also, no one is seeming to talk about the fact that the plot literally changed from our main character being a boy to now a girl lol; when I first saw Hailee Steinfeld's name there, I thought that she was playing that boy 🙏)

AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY
What Was Presented: Exclusively Released New Trailer
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW GOOD I THINK THE AVENGERS DOOMSDAY TRAILER SOUNDS OH MY GOODNESS YOU HAVE NO IDEA OH MY GOODNESS. I'm speechless; no joke, I literally screamed in my home when I read the trailer description... AND IT WAS JUST THE DESCRIPTION. 🥹
I had some hope for them releasing the actual trailer publicly last night, but after a couple hours, I called it quits and went to bed. This trailer sounds EPIC and the entire fan base is HYPED beyond my wildest dreams. I also heard from CinemaCon reporters that this trailer was 2 WHOLE MINUTES LONG, so... it's the real deal.
The only thing I'm worried about now is the crazy intensity that just this trailer description brings... I don't want to be a downer, but I have to state my biggest worry: they make it too darn dark and evil. In recent reviews from test screenings, people have stated that Avengers: Doomsday has many moments where you want to "turn away from the screen" and how it's "horror dark". I obviously don't wike it when movies do that. I'm just saying, if they go over-the-top with the evil, it could all come crashing down for me and my own personal opinion of this new Avengers addition, just like Brand New Day with Man-Spider.
BUT OTHER THAN THAT IT'S PRETTY MUCH ALL I DREAMED OF THIS TRAILER BETTER BLESS MY EYEBALLS SOMETIME THIS WEEK WHETHER IT BE FROM A LEAK OR OFFICIALLY RELEASED I'M COMING FOR IT HEH HEH HEH HEH-
So many cool surprises and even though they weren't all public, I can live with the incredibly detailed descriptions for a bit longer I suppose. 🤣 (But not too long, Marvel... please... 🙏)
Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoyed!
