Second thought on fundamentals:
If you made good moves, you did not worsen your position.
But you had lost your game. What that does mean?
Well - you know. You did make some bad moves.
The tricky part is to get the idea of being source of bad moves without hurting ego too much. But you need to remember that only weak can became stronger. If you think that you are strong enough, and there is no place to point your bad moves or even criticise you a little, then it means that you will not improve.
