Chess University - Modern White Repertoire 1. c4!
Hi again!
It's been a while since my last opening lecture, so I'd like to continue with one of the most fashionable openings today, the English. The English has been championed by players such as Kasparov in must win games and is rapidly rising in popularity in modern chess. For many years, 1. e4 and 1. d4 have been seen as almost automatic opening moves. This makes 1. c4 a less prepared for and interesting choice for a player of any level.
Chess 313 – Modern White Repertoire - 1.c4.
