Contribution to the management of chess.com clubs and solution to access to mobile data

In this post we are going to talk about how we were able to contribute to optimizing the user experience in Chess.com and we have also provided a multi-purpose solution for the limitation of information in the mobile version regarding the clubs, or rather in our club

In the age of mobile technology, it is crucial to ensure that online platforms are equally accessible and functional on both desktop and mobile devices. It is also true that there are websites that have had sublime success and that their apps are developed to be a fast application with access to the main activities of the business; And vice versa, there are successful apps that have websites with basic information based on your interests.

However, we have noticed that in the case of Chess.com, the desktop version can be a bit complicated to navigate, while the mobile version lacks access to several important points of the club, announcements and blogs, past, ongoing and registration events, etc.
Everything about the club in one place. In general terms, you have to take your hat off to the development that chess.com has for a reason it is the number one chess platform in the world. The information may be available, however it is not easily accessible.

To address this information limitation, we have developed an innovative solution: we make a single, more complete announcement, transforming it into a weekly newsletter that contains all the important links to keep our community informed about the club's activities and events. This newsletter not only provides quick and convenient access to relevant information, but also serves as an interactive menu to improve navigability on the mobile version of Chess.com.

With this initiative, we are committed to improving the user experience and ensuring that all members of our club can easily access the information they need to fully participate and enjoy our online chess community.

To manage and organize the club's activities and ensure that they are carried out, it is crucial to maintain good and clear communication with our members about our management. We have called our weekly announcement UPDATENews, which by the way we only do one per week to reduce the level of spam. We are at number 65 practically since the origins of the club, it is also an executive report and permanent consultation with all the recognitions and awards to our members.

In summary, we started the idea at the beginning of the club, now after having published 65 issues, that is more than a year, that idea constitutes a proven best practice in club administration, which we are sharing. It should be noted that it reflects the management of the different moments that we live in the club, 2023 season, thematic events, Recognitions and Awards, recess, 2024 Pre-Season and the current 2024 season. These moments that everyone has also constitute a better practice sports in the world, the only thing missing is for chess.com to adopt it in general as we proposed in the previous post.
