In this post we are going to discuss the hyper-rapid development of the history of chess in the last two periods with the Internet and Artificial Intelligence (AI), which both cover in just 30 years of the history of humanity, a tremendous mega-epic exponential growth of chess, a story never told to this day.

They have also facilitated the organization of online events, live tournaments and competitions, the creation of online clubs, connecting players from all countries and regions of the world, of all levels and ages, like for example our 241. It is also relevant to mention the famous match between Garry Kasparov and Deep Blue (Artificial Intelligence) in 1997, where Kasparov was defeated by an IBM machine.

The integration of AI into various applications and online services has been a fundamental component of this change, enabling greater automation, personalization and efficiency in a wide range of everyday activities.

In the latest era of chess, grandmasters have shown a number of distinctive characteristics in addition to adaptation to technology:

Depth of Calculation: Grandmasters of the current era have an exceptional ability to calculate complex variants and evaluate positions in depth, even under time pressure.
Versatility: The best players of the last era are known for their versatility in a wide variety of openings, playing styles and position types. They are able to adapt to different types of opponents and game situations.
Understand the fundamental principles: Despite the sophistication of modern theory and strategy, grandmasters continue to apply and understand the fundamental principles of chess, such as early piece development, center control, and piece coordination.
Psychological toughness: In a highly competitive environment, great teachers must remain calm under pressure and be able to recover from setbacks. Mental toughness and the ability to make decisions under stress are hallmarks of the best players.
Use of technology: Today's grandmasters make the most of the technological tools available, such as match databases, analysis engines, and online training programs. They use these tools to prepare, analyze games and improve their game.

In summary, the grandmasters of the last era stand out for their ability to calculate, versatility, understanding of fundamental principles, psychological strength, and intelligent use of technology. These features allow them to stay at the top of the game in an increasingly competitive and dynamic environment. Technology has been a crucial factor in the explosion of chess popularity worldwide, multiplying the player base exponentially in a short period, estimated at more than 5000%.
