Welcome to Part 5 of my series on the Benko Gambit! Here is a look at the main line of the Benko Gambit Fianchetto Variation which we haven't covered yet. This variation can come from the moves 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 c5 3. d5 b5 4. cxb5 a6 5. bxa6 g6 6. Nc3 Bxa6 7. g3!

My Benko Gambit Series:
#1 The f3 Benko Gambit (Half Accepted)
#2 The e3 Benko Gambit (Half Accepted)
#3 The Benko Gambit Main Line
#4 The Benko Gambit Pawn Return Variation (Half Accepted)
#5 The Fianchetto Variation

Although this is similar to the Fully Accepted Main Line there are some key differences since white chooses to put their light square bishop on g2 and so these bishops will remain on the board. I will go move by move and we will explore what happens in this opening and some key ideas.  I hope you enjoy!   -Stacia
