Could someon explain to me why at times the game gets judged a draw for "insuffcient material" when in fact it looks like to me there is plenty of material on the board. An example would be the game that I just ended. Knowing that I could win the game by playing the time, I allowed my opponent to capture some of my pieces while "wasting" time. At the end, I was left with only my King but with 43 seconds on the clock. My opponent had the king, queen, a bishop and two pawns and down to 0 seconds. The game enede as a draw for "insufficient material" (??????). Has anyone else experienced this?
