The Canadian Team wins the first of seven Spring Masters tournaments

The Canadian Team wins the 1600-1800 Spring Masters, the first of seven tournaments in ONE WORLD League's Spring Daily Season 2024. Tournaments are played in groups with six clubs each: All five matches start at the same date and are played with 1 day/move. Ten weeks later their provisional results will be used to make placements for the next of four annual seasons.

They are our fastest daily chess tournaments so far and it looks that players like their fast games. All matches in 1600-1800 Spring Masters are already completed, ten days before the cut off date. Results from all seven Spring Masters/Experts/Candidates tournaments will determine ONE WORLD League's Spring Daily Champions 2024.

Free spots in the three Experts groups (4+ boards) will go to newly registering clubs. All other clubs will continue in Candidates divisions (3+ boards). Registrations will close on June 1 and Summer tournament will start three weeks later. Only group winners promote and up to three clubs will relegate.

The 1400-1600 Spring Masters will be decided in a few days and we'll update you very soon.

Summer season will have these ten tournaments:

  • 1800+ Summer Masters on June 16 (4+ boards)
  • 1600-1800 Summer Masters on June 23 (4+ boards)
  • 1400-1600 Summer Masters on June 30 (4+ boards)
  • Eight4Us Summer Masters on June 30 (8 boards)
  • 1200-1400 Summer Masters on July 14 (4+ boards)
  • 960 1400+ Summer Masters on July 21 (4+ boards)
  • 960 U1400 Summer Masters on July 28 (4+ boards)
  • 1000-1200 Summer Masters on August 11 (4+ boards)
  • U1000 Summer Masters on August 18 (4+ boards) and
  • 960 Six4Us Summer Masters on August 25 (6 boards)

Clubs admins can apply to join the ONE WORLD League (please mention the club you're representing) to check our upcoming daily and vote chess competitions.
