Here 's the list of chess books I have compiled and which RoaringPawn is enjoying most.
As you can see, Roary is most obsessed with the selection of games of the greats (because of their ideas) and ideas in general (strategy). All history of humankind has been the history of ideas. The rest is just implementation of them (=tactics).
I also included several chess primers as I have been doing new modern ways of teaching and learning (complete) beginners.
