Hello fellow chess player,

I'm sorry I couldn't due all 8 but It was so time consuming. I plan to do all 8 by the end of this week or Monday the 31st. In todays lesson we are going to look at 2 games from a quarter of every 1.d4 opening I have covered. The Isolani , link is down below.

Three more of these will end my 1.d4 course inside a course. Next I will do the Najdorf and Maroczy bind after that I plan to take a break. Only Posting at most once a day, maybe twice on the weekends. Around Christmas I will try to post up to 3 things a day. Thankyou for reading this.

Learning objective: The central break d4-d5 can be very powerful if black does not effectively prepare for it.

Final remarks: Black's position would have been much safer had Black kept his Knight on d5.   It is absolutely necessary to prevent a possible d4-d5 break. After d5 the position was nearly lost.

Learning objective: 1. Having an Isolani is bad in the endgame so you should push it earlier. 2. Having no pieces for attack is why white could not win.

Final remarks: The standard plan ...Qd8 and ...Rd5 forces white to play b2-b4 to prevent c6-c5. Once b2-b4 had been played, the break a7-a5 forces the weakness of the b4-pawn, or allows black to achieve c6-c5.

Thankyou, for reading!
