Lario got an upgrade!

To celebrate Lario's youtube channel hitting 3 million subscribers, Chess.com changed the Lario bot from Lario to Fire Lario. For those who don't know, Lario is a combination of Levy Rozman and Mario. He was made alongside other Mario themed chess bots (find out more here: https://www.chess.com/blog/The-Scout/mario-has-arrived-at-the-chess-kingdom) to celebrate the release of the Super Mario Bros movie.

GothamChess, aka Levy Rozman, reached 3 million subscribers on youtube on February 18th, 2023. This happened only 50 days after he hit 2 million subscribers.

Meet Fire Lario:

Fire Lario has a elo rating of 1300 and is the second highest rated Mario bot. 

How to defeat Fire Lario:

There are two ways to beat the Fire Lario bot, either by checkmate or running out of time. Beating the bot by checkmate is obvious and probably not that difficult. 

          1. Go to play

          2. Click on computer

           3. Select the Fire Lario bot

          4. Go to custom settings

          5. Set time to 1 minute

           6. Click play and premove!

This is a simple way to beat the bots by causing them to run out of time!
