Me: Hello and welcome to the...*checks notes* 8th episode of Behind the Avatar! Today I'm going to be interviewing @FreeFriendlyDove, called "Dove" in this interview. So Dove, how are you doing today?

Dove: GREATTTTTT BOUTTA GO SLEEP!!! (sorry if i'm so energetic even at night :3)

Me: Well that's awesome! I hope I'm not going to keep you up too late lol. Anyways, introduce yourself to the audience! What are some of your hobbies?

Dove: okayyy so you can check my bio... but i'd do it xD sooo i'm dove, obviously not my real name, and I'm 13! I'm and estp yayyyyyyyy. i love music, singing, playing the mafia game, reading, studying, drawing, playing the piano and chess! btw i’m from singapore, not england (i just loveeeee england A LOT)

Dove: oooo i forgot to add, i can speak 3 languages, and sign 2!

Me: Oh cool! Could you demonstrate some sign language for us? Jk we can't see it XD. Well, now that we know who you are, let's move on to the interview. Why did you choose the username you did? What is the history of your username? Has it been changed? Has it been the same this whole time?

Dove: oh lol we'll see ; ) ok so my chesskid account used to be freefriendlydove, it was a school account cause by co-curricualr activity was chess. so my teacher created the account and chose the name. then he changed it to NP19G_FriendlyDove (school abbreviation, year i joined school, gender) and asked me to use FriendlyDove to create a account on cc for a tournament here, but it was taken. so I just used FreeFriendlyDove instead. it hasn't been changed, and i love it, its my name on all other social platforms.

Me: It looked like a ChessKid username. Alright, profile picture! Are you the type of person who changes their pfp a lot or do you like to stick with the same one? Also, why did you choose your current pfp?

Dove: LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOO ck usernames are just adjective + adjective + noun. anywwayyyy i change my pfp maybe once every few weeks ヾ(≧▽≦*)o sometimes i match with people, like last time when i matched with @Guonathonking for snoopy. i chose my current pfp, cuz snoopy? all my pfps are snoopy, unless I'm matching cuz #snoopy4ever!! snoopy is just slay. simple ( •̀ ω •́ )✧

Me: IDK about you but I think you're a Snoopy fan lol (nothing wrong with that). I don't think you've changed it for a bit...Moving on to social. How did you find Chess.com social and what is your opinion on it?

Dove: ooooooo so actually i was just making a thread about "has anyone watched wicked" ,and only goomba replied. then he said move it to off topic and so i moved it to off topic and found otf!! i also read about @aki being unbanned petition and stuff but like.... WHOS THAT. clubs is just clubs. i had my federation tournament, made me join a club xD

Me: You should tell the directors their movie is the reason you found social; I'm curious what their reaction would be. "Who even are you? A chess site? What the-" Moving on. Do you own any clubs?

Dove: thats carzy- i used to own dove besties but clubs- its just not my thing xD

Me: And that's completely fine! OTF isn't really my thing so I guess we're opposites. Do you have a staff position in any clubs?

Dove: itz fine, we have our opinion. i have coord in dtv, de01's hangout and da chill zone, admin in author's flock (join it join it join it) and chess champ, and sa in snoopy lovers ;-;

Me: Yeah, I wonder who owns this club called "Author's Flock". I bet she likes Top Gun-XD. Staying on the topic of clubs, what was the first big club you joined, and how did you find it?

Dove: YEAAAAA the first club i joined was probably my federation's- SCF Fun Sundays Chess League....? i had to search it up. i found it cuz... i was supposed to play in it... yeah...

Me: Lol. I said big club but maybe I could just change the question... I think we all know the answer, but do you prefer clubs or OTF? Why?

Dove: ooooo is that not big?? idk ;-; BUT! OTF! OTF! OTF! there's many reasons, i don't want to go into detail, but clubs just seems a bit... weird to me. there's tons of ppl who judge you, for one. andddd getting muted/banned for some random stuff kinda unfair. otf is cool, AND WE'RE SUPER WELCOMING AND FRIENDLY!!! we also have not too cliche games, and obviously, OTFDAN!!! yep we crashed the site, CLUBS CAN YOU DO THAT?? and the ppl there are heaven (❁´◡`❁)

Me: I just assumed it wasn't that big. Oh well. Addressing OTF, I can confirm y'all broke CC. Wait I just checked...I think they managed to fix the forum. What would you say is your greatest achievement on Chess.com?

Dove: yea developers are great, they fixed it!! makes mobile sugg again- anyway, i would say it would be... being this popular? i only joined cc social 7 months ago and I've become known so that's kinda interesting... but that has garnered me many friends which i love yayyyyyyyyyy. if we talk about chess, maybe getting 1800 rapid and blitz, but that's on my alt, so then I'll say 1700 rapid here. ψ(｀∇´)ψ

Me: Achievements on your alt count, so long as you are the person who got them! Well then, I'm gonna go ahead and start wrapping this up. Are there any blogs/clubs/people you would like to shoutout, and if so what/who are they?

Dove: Ooooo so there are many many ppl i’m grateful for, but i can’t write everything downnn!! Soooo here we go, I'll list some. Shoutout time!!!!! I’m gonna be frank, unlike the others who just said (she didnt pay me fr), she is COOL! She’s chill, and funny, and the quotes she has is HEAVEN!!!
