Interview conducted on October 5-6, 2025.

Me: This is the 17th BTA blog. @Lord_Aragorn1 is being interviewed today. Why don't you tell us a bit about yourself?

Aragorn: well, I like baseball, chess and weather. I’m a proud owner of a club with 160+ members and I enjoy being part of staff in other clubs

Me: Why did you choose your username? Is this the only username you've had or are there others?

Aragorn: I’ve had others. Actually, this isn’t my first account. My first was @tornado_dude then I made this account, my first username on this account was @lotr-mt-doom then I changed it to this. I choose this username because Lord Aragorn is one of my most favorite people in The Lord Of The Rings.

Me: Why did you choose the pfp that you did?

Aragorn: My pfp is lord Aragorn with his battle sword in a ring of elvish letters. The ring is the ring of power

Me: Do you own any clubs, or are you a coordinator/admin/super admin in any clubs?

Aragorn: I’m SA and admin in 5+ clubs and I own two clubs. I enjoy moderating clubs and making forum games.

Me: Do you mind telling me which clubs those are?

Aragorn: I own a club with 17 members, that is a giveaway club and I own a club that is 6 months old and it’s called The amazing chess players. I also own a club that has 200+ members that a good friend on chess.com gave me. So I actually own 3 clubs.

Me: How did you find Chess.com social and what is your opinion on it?

Aragorn: Umm… i stumbled across it when I joined chess.com community then I joined CVC then I was invited to DTV but I don’t really care to get on here that often. 

Me: Do you prefer clubs or OTF, and why?

Aragorn: I probably prefer clubs. I don’t really know why, I just like clubs.

Me: You're the first I've met to not know why you like clubs...There's nothing wrong that, I just find it interesting.

Me: What would you say is your greatest achievement on Chess.com?

Aragorn: There’s a lot. Probably, reaching 150 members in my club. The runner up would be touching 1000 bullet

Me: 1000 bullet's a good one.

Me: Are there any blogs/clubs/people you would like to shoutout, and if so what/who are they?
