Me: Why did you choose your username? What's the history behind it?
Cosmic: So, there's actually a funny incident behind this username. It was around the Christmas of 2024, I had the username @Its_Sugar_Rohin which did mean something bad in hindi which I got to know by my brother, so we decided to find a new username, my bro took money from me for this (yes, 😭) And we found this username, which I really liked, but i couldn't change my username by 25th Jan 2025, it was available that time. And in fact, I wanted the username @TheCosmicHorizon , no underscore. But when I tried changing it on 25th Jan, I saw it was taken because it was taken on 19 jan, just two days ago 😭 So i had to adjust with this username with the underscore, but now I really like it, as it has shaped my identity in CVC
Me: Why did you choose this pfp?
Cosmic: I just generate pfps after some time with my name there. And this time, it was it.
Me: Do you own or have a staff position in any clubs?
Cosmic: I do own 3 clubs, one for private, the other was an attempt to make a good club i even gathered 70+ members, but it failed. and the last one is a hurt/heal alliance club.
Cosmic: No, i currently do not own any staff position except for carlsen's hurt/heal alliance. And i am just in CVC and was a staff there a month ago
Me: How did you find Chess.com social?
Cosmic: I was just scrolling different features of chess.com, and there I found chess.com social, I clicked on it and then saw the VC leaderboard, and I decided to join one. At that chess champ had high activity rate and was #3 in VC+I found the name Cool, so i joined it, and after that , my social journey started.
Me: What is your opinion on social?
Cosmic: Social is fun and engaging, but it's overuse makes us soo much addicted to it that u start to do things that u shouldn't. Like secretly being here at midnight without permission from parents(if child) and it can be way too much addictive
Me: Do you prefer clubs or OTF, and why?
Cosmic: I prefer clubs over otf. I have been a club guy since the start. I have tried otf but I feel it too un-organised
Me: What would you say is your greatest achievement on Chess.com?
Cosmic: Idk tbh, the greatest achievement? Maybe 1400 rapid milestone? It was great for me. Or bring called an oldie of CVC, such a reputed club of chess.com? I don't think I have really accomplished anything on chess.com yet.
Me: Are there any blogs/clubs/people you would like to shoutout, and if so what/who are they?
Cosmic: In blogs? Umm.... I do like some, but I don't remember them. I only remember of @Hen (formarly @HrnryUrbanek ) who used to make great blogs. In clubs, shoutout to CVC, the best and community. And chess champ, my first and beloved club. In people, i would like to give shoutout to @NoahDeAlwis my best friend. @Marie_Hoa and @BermudanPM , great personalities and good friends. And @Carlsen for being old and good friend.
