Behind the Avatar - ToastBread_1
Hello! Welcome back to Behind the Avatar (credit to @Witch31415 for the name)! I'm your host, @TheAuthorOfChickens. In this series, we get to know more about some of the people on social!
Today we're interviewing @ToastBread_1 (referred to as "Toast" in this interview).
Me: Welcome to the FIFTH episode of Behind the Avatar! Today we'll be interviewing Toast. How are you doing today?
Toast: I am doing good.
Me: That's good to hear! So, to get started, tell us a bit about yourself! What are your hobbies?
Toast: I like chess (of course). But mostly the variants like Bughouse, Atomic etc. I like playing football, and playing video games too (who doesn't?). And I like listening to music. I always listen to music while playing chess and other stuff. That's all I guess.
Me: Nice! I'm a fan of Chaturaji so I guess we're kind of on the same page (: Anyways, why did you choose your current username?
Toast: My first username was somebodystolemytoast_1 (because why not?). Then I quit chess.com for almost a year and came back. I meet with the social side first in live game chats. Someone was joking with my username there and I changed it to @ToastBread_1 to make a joke implying I found who ate my toast, lol. And kept the "_1" because there were no other usernames avabile and because of the old username. That's how I got my username.
Me: Nice XD. I was going to ask you the history of your username but you're one step ahead of me! Instead, are you the type of person who changes their pfp a lot or do you like to stick with the same one? Also, why did you choose your current pfp?
Me: I'm saying "Nice" a lot and yet I'm a writer. I should find more creative words fr
Toast: Well, I keep my pfp because I can't find any good ones and I like how it is original. I changed my pfp recently and added the "green square" stuff because I thought it would be funny, though. And I made my pfp myself, so I didn't really 'choose' it.
Me: Ah yes, the green square. #Howtogetmoreviews (dw I don't really care about views). And I think your pfp suits you well! Let's move on to clubs. Do you own any clubs? If so, please tell me a bit about them.
Toast: I don't really own clubs. The only club I own is my private club where I test things, lol.
Me: Perfectly acceptable answer! Well, you don't own any clubs, but do you have a staff position (including coordinator) in any?
Toast: No expect for my own private club again. ;-;
Me: RIP no one likes you. (for legal reasons this is a joke) Well then, what was the first big club you joined, and how did you find it?
Toast: I don't really remeber, but probably Chess.com Türkçe (Turkish Chess.com club). Other than that, probably UCN.
Me: Interesting. Now that I think about it, I don't know the answer to this question. I don't even remember how I found CVC. Maybe I got invited. *coughs* But this interview is about you. What would you say is your greatest achievement on Chess.com?
Toast: Hmm. A hard question. I'd say discovering Bughouse and improving myself at it or being a part of the Chess.com community. But realistically, the first one.
Me: I'd say the Bughouse one suits you, seeing as you're 1499 at the time of interviewing and your highest is 1726. Good job! I'm gonna go ahead and wrap it up here. Thank you for your time! But before you go, are there any blogs/clubs/people you would like to shoutout, and if so what/who are they?
