New Year's Eve 2024

It's been another great year! I went offline from about 8 months, but still lol

Please keep in mind that there is no order to the highlights and that the section is for events in general.

Highlights

- I went offline on April 18. I didn't come back online after I returned from my vacation because I needed to get off Chess.com. I returned on December 21, about 6 hours after a forum was post in iCHESS asking about who I am and why I left Chess.com.

- Faustino Oro became the youngest International Master on June 30. He is 10 years and 8 months old, one month younger than second youngest Abhimanyu Mishra.

- Chess.com vs. Chesskid closed at the beginning of January, but Caleb re-opened it later. It now has 4,800 members.

- @GMchessminator was banned for abuse in June. He got his account opened again, but closed it in July.

- Paladins of Chess hit 4,000 members, having gained about 3,000 from the start of the year.

- Chess.com vs. Chesskid beat Chess.com - India in a game of vote chess (https://www.chess.com/votechess/game/280021).

- The 2024 Chess.com Daily Chess Championship is still going on. @adi007bond is in the lead with 86.5 points.

- CVC's largest forum hit 7,760 comments and 388 pages.

- @Wind won the Chess.com Staff Hurt/Heal forum with 56 points. @4KnightsOfTheApocalypse came in second with 29 points and @AwsomeAtti came in third with 25 points. A rematch is being hosted by @Zach_God here: https://www.chess.com/forum/view/off-topic/hurt-heal-mods.

- @GM_of_Australia unfortunately left the site.

- Shout out to this daily tournament (https://www.chess.com/tournament/start-of-november-tournament) I made that started in November 2023 and is still going on. @KRAPARSOV is in the lead with 37 points.

- @Jared revived iCHESS, a club created in 2007 who's owner (@youare9) left in 2021.

- I finished Round 1 of my quotes (each round contains 100 quotes). @Chessian-Ian was quoted the most with 18 quotes. @Caleb341 came in second with 11 and @F1-24 placed in third with 4.
