2 Years! 50 Posts! How Well Have You Followed The Kiwi Hobbit?

Kia ora, dear friends! Welcome to my 50th post!

You read that correctly. I know it’s almost unbelievable that I have already written so many, but it's true! Of course, I would like to celebrate this milestone with my readers. After all, it is thanks to you, who read, comment, and share your feedback to motivate me, that I have been able to achieve this. Thank you all so much.

And there is one more special thing about today's post. Four days ago, on 26 August, my blog completed two years since the very first text, which means it is another blogiversary!

Depending on how long you have been following me, you might remember that I created a quiz to celebrate my first year of blogging. So, I thought it would be a good idea to make a new one for the second year.

Click on the image to try the quiz about the first blogiversary.

Ok, how will it work this time? It makes no sense to ask questions about the first 25 blogs again. If you want to test your knowledge of them, you can simply try the first quiz.

Therefore, let's focus on the second year, from post #26 to post #49. This quiz will consist of 30 questions, one about each of the 24 articles, plus 6 extra ones about The Kiwi Hobbit’s Blog in general.

Obviously, the correct options are all easy to find if you open the texts, but please be honest and try to answer them before 'cheating'. Also, remember to keep track of how many you got right, as I don't think there is a way for me to automatically count your score.

At the end, I will provide you with a scale to rate your performance. If you would like to read the blogs afterwards, I would be delighted.  Let's get started!

CONCLUSION - ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS AND WHAT IS NEXT?

Thank you for joining me on this journey. Your support is what keeps me going!

Yay, congratulations on making it to the end! Or, if you just skipped the questions and got here, that's okay too! Now it is time to rate your performance:

SCORE PLAYER PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION
30 Stockfish You were perfect like an engine: 100% accuracy. I'm proud to have you as a reader!
25 - 29 Magnus Carlsen Some inaccuracies happen to everyone, but you are a living legend and a GOAT contender!
20 - 24 Gukesh Dommaraju Excellent performance! You may not be the best yet, but you are already at world-champion level!
15 - 19 Nodirbek Abdusattorov You are a great reader! A little more hard work and you will be at the top soon.
10 - 14 Vincent Keymer Not quite there yet, but I see potential. You may surprise many in the future.
5 - 9 Hans Niemann Quite disappointing. Focus on your reading instead of bragging about how great you are.
1 - 4 Vladimir Kramnik At least I am sure you didn't cheat.
0 Vanessa Bristow Aren't you ashamed of your existence?

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

If you didn't do as well as you expected, don't be sad… When I first thought of the questions, I didn't know all the right answers either. Luckily, I was forced to "cheat", otherwise, it would be boring to have items without an answer.

Finally, I would like to express my deepest gratitude once again to all of you who have read any of my texts. Although I write for fun and would do so even if no one cared about them, it is always a pleasure to know that so many people appreciate it. If you are one of those people, please accept a warm virtual hug.

And what’s next? Will I quit? Retire? Take all the money I earned from blogging (US$50) and flee to a tax haven?

Honestly, I’ve been very tired lately, especially since I have started running blogging competitions and must read and judge many articles from other users. However, that does not mean I’ll stop publishing my own blogs. I promise at least two per month until the end of 2025. After that, it is possible that this frequency will have to be reevaluated, but I can't say anything yet, so let's wait and see.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you will stay with me for the third year! See you again on September 15th!
